In Nigeria, once you say you're tired, somebody will remind you that people your age are building houses. 😭💀

there's difference between wanting to be successful and wanting people to see as you successful. the two can take you in very different directions.

🚨🎙️|Lamine Yamal on why he wore a pink flower brooch to the Ballon d’Or ceremony:
🗣️ Lamine Yamal: “While I was getting ready for the ceremony, my girlfriend, Ines, told me she had a little gift for me.
“She brought out this pink flower brooch, smiled, and pinned it onto my suit. Then she told me, ‘This is going to bring you luck tonight. You’re going to win the Ballon d’Or.’
“Honestly, that moment meant a lot to me. It wasn’t an expensive gift or anything extravagant, but it came from someone who believes in me and wants to see me succeed.
“But I didn’t know I was coming here to clap for somebody else.
“I came here believing I had done enough to win the Ballon d’Or this year. I had already come close twice, and I honestly thought this could finally be my moment.
“When you work so hard for something and get so close, you start imagining what it will feel like to finally hold that trophy. You picture the celebration, the people who supported you, and the moment you can tell them their belief was worth it.
“That’s why the result hurt. I respect Harry Kane, and congratulations to him, but I would be lying if I said I wasn’t disappointed.
“Unfortunately, the luck wasn’t quite enough this time! [laughs] Maybe the flower has done its job by giving me confidence, but the Ballon d’Or will have to wait until next year.
“Football, I guess, can be cruel. Sometimes you give everything you have, believe you’ve done enough, and still watch somebody else receive the reward you dreamed of.
“But I’ll keep the brooch. Who knows? Maybe next year, I’ll wear it again, and this time, Ines will be celebrating with me.
“I just hope next time she gives me a flower that brings the Ballon d’Or home, not one that brings me to the ceremony to applaud the winner!” #ballondor

Transparency builds trust, strengthens relationships, and brings peace of mind. Be honest about your intentions, clear with your words, and consistent with your actions. What you have to hide will eventually cost you more than the truth.

🚨Joe Cole on João Pedro recent injury
🗣️I think the club rushed his return after the international break,he played against Bournemouth and then got injured again.
It's been confirmed he'll be out for weeks which means he's going to miss out against Liverpool and Manchester United.
The good thing is that Xabi Alonso will be glad that Emmanuel Emegha will be available to face Liverpool on Wednesday. Hopefully he's going to do well because the coach believes in him.
Cole Palmer is suspended so I believe Estevao Willian and Geovany Quenda will form another trio with Emmanuel Emegha or Danny Welbeck against Liverpool.
I also expect to see Romeo Lavia,Marco Palestra, Wesley Fofana to feature against Liverpool because they have all had limited game time this season.
Tomorrow is going to be a huge game for Xabi Alonso,he will face the club he once represented as a player and he will be looking forward to get back to winning ways after a disappointing defeat to Spurs in the Premier League.
