We also seem to operate better when we start going up tempo. Don’t know if that has something to do with it, but also caught Moore on tv once yelling to hurry up and lineup, don’t know what clock was at but makes a lot of sense now.

Revealing comment from #Steelers LB Elandon Roberts. Noticed on film Saints QB Tyler Shough wasn't making checks himself - HC Kellen Moore relayed them in. So Steelers defense stayed static until < 15 seconds when playcallers can't talk to QB. Two examples of it below. First one, Patrick Queen runs into A-gap w/ 14 seconds and Saints run right into him. I agree. And 8/10 of the top rushing offenses are predominantly zone run teams. Gotta get everyone moving laterally, test gap integrity and let RBs pick the spots. Most of those teams use motions to get creativity and guys’ eyes moving then make them move laterally.
team was/is built so perfectly for the wide zone system it doesn’t even make sense

Nick do you have the throw chart from this last game? Went back and watched and still seems like they’re not operating the middle of the field, really between the numbers much. Not getting nothing in the run game, not getting much within the numbers, and rarely taking deep shots,
There are some 100% tells in here. A motion that has meant exclusively run in a given situation. Pittsburgh finally caught one of the tells and smoked it out.

Basically eliminating like 35-40% of the field. Of Shough’s 11 INTs since he’s been starting he’s thrown 1 inside the numbers (Lions), maybe 2 if you count that Falcons slant INT last year which was borderline. Gotta give ourselves a chance in those areas when your QB is

super efficient there. Can hold the LBs and safeties if we take some shots and possibly help the run as a result. And even open up play action like the shot to Barion even more. All goes hand in hand if we can operate in between the numbers more efficiently and often.

A zone scheme where everyone is stepping the same way and can account for this slant and the RB can just pick his spot would help with this imo
Watch these reps from Yayha Black (94), lined up to the left of center. 1st: slants across the C’s face, eats a double and keeps the OL from climbing to Queen, who is unblocked to the RB. 2nd: slants again, rips free, drops the RB for a loss. This is some Casey Hampton stuff.

Love when defenses play chess and everyone is on the same page. Beautiful football
Showing Cover 0 out of an odd front, then dropping eight into a Cover 2 variation to force a throw into a trap corner. As a football fan, I love the scheme. As an Aggie, I hate it.

Lmao should of probably had like 2-3 titles since like 2020. We’re just cursed in SD…
Turns out the NLCS wasn’t the World Series. It was actually the NLDS

Idk if you’re tryna get a reaction out of me or tryna get me to blame someone or what lol. Doubt it was an option route or else he would have squared up the LB and had a 2 way go. Think it was a tempo’d out to give outside WR time to get the MOR and occupy the off palms/cov 4
Replying to @olavegetsactive
Zeke what was your thoughts on the option route by your brother? He’s matched up with a LB. if I was Tyler I would’ve been heated by that piss poor effort

corner. 1st one Tyler threw in front of him for incompletion to the field 2nd one he threw behind in the boundary for INT. Idk their coaching points but I know their timing was off a couple times. INT probably could have squared up backer to give more space to throw the ball.

Other than that get the guy on the ground on the INT. Once again idk their coaching points, or reads I just observe what I see and what I know brotha!

Gotta take that shot and anticipate that throw. At the same time it’s a trickle down affect of what’s happened throughout the season and getting crushed. The positive is he gave us a chance to score points and stay in the game. Hindsight the missed FG makes the play hurt more.
Here is the endzone view

Talked about having all these Ferraris and speed in your receiving core and we’re running hitches, mesh, slants, and outs. If we can’t run and our QB is taking a beating, let’s get some creativity going. Moving the pocket, play action, motions. Too vanilla the last few weeks

Can be creative in the run game too. Can do all those in motions to get the defense to hesitate in the run too. Those RPOs we were running at the end of last year too

Bucs putting belt to Panthers. And here I am delusional that we can still salvage a playoff spot in this division…
