If you were to tell a 1980s marketing major about this, they'd probably have to sit down with their face in their hands for a minute

did not think i'd see a truth nuke from david harbour but he's absolutely right. the obsession with the nuclear family, single family home, "just me and mine" mentality in america is part of the reason we're such evil people
David Harbour says America’s family culture has a capitalist mindset of protecting your own and ignoring everyone else
“You’re either alone and you’re kind of like a weird bachelor or spinster... or you get a family, you get a house and that’s your castle and those are your people”
“It’s like, ‘F**k the rest of the world,’ or like, ‘We protect what’s ours’... there’s a very sort of capitalist mindset to this ideology”
“I think there’s something about communal living in America that we all kind of long for... friendship and common ground and supporting each other and taking care of each other”

A group of neighborhood kids waited for Mayor Zohran Mamdani to finish at the campfire, and the moment he said hello, everything turned into joyful chaos.
There were screams, hugs and autograph requests coming from every direction, and the @nycmayor stopped to spend time with them before leaving Inwood Hill Park.
The sweetest possible ending to the evening.

Steph Curry gave Golden State four trophies, global iconic status, and a multi-billion-dollar arena franchise. The front office owed him an aggressive, all-out commitment to maximize every remaining second of his career.
It’s time for fans to stop letting front offices off the hook. Nostalgia doesn’t win games, and appreciation without urgency is just negligence. Steph Curry deserved better, and it’s time to hold management accountable for failing him.
