Yes let’s dig our heels in even further on the one issue that lost Republicans the elections!
Time for President Trump to deal with Iran once and for all. Just do it.
Nothing to lose now.
Finish the job. @POTUS
I think I’m really only looking forward to @T_REX1991’s eventual appearance on the ESPN broadcast
Did not expect Baylor twitter to be beefing with Providence twitter on a random Wednesday, but here we are!
Updated Baylor HC hot board (my opinions):
1. Lincoln Riley: Texas guy, elite recruiter, and an offensive mastermind. Landing him would likely require USC to fire him or negotiate a mutually agreeable separation that would allow him to take the Baylor job. If I’m Doug McNamee, Riley is the first call I’m making.
2. Charlie Weis Jr.: The one calculated risk I’d be willing to take if I’m McNamee. He’s consistently produced high-powered offenses and has an exceptional track record of developing quarterbacks. He’d need to be surrounded by experienced coordinators, but this guy is going to be a head coach sooner rather than later. Why not give him that opportunity before another program does?
3. Spencer Danielson: An excellent program builder who has sustained a high level of success at Boise State. My biggest concern is his lack of Texas recruiting ties, which could make it difficult to establish a strong foothold in the state. Nevertheless, I fully expect him to be high on Baylor’s list.
4. Jeff Traylor: I’m admittedly not as high on Traylor as some others, but I certainly wouldn’t be disappointed if he got the job. He’s a Texas guy with deep recruiting connections and a proven ability to build and sustain a successful program. My biggest hesitation is that he seems genuinely happy at UTSA, and convincing him to leave could be more difficult than people think.
While I believe moving on from Dave Aranda was the right decision for Baylor football, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for his leadership and the way he represented our University.
Regardless of the results on the field, Coach Aranda carried himself with class, integrity, and humility. He was a tremendous steward of Baylor University and embodied the values that make this institution special.
I’ll always be grateful for the unforgettable 2021 season, which was the perfect way to cap off my senior year at Baylor.
Thank you for everything, @CoachDaveAranda. Wishing you nothing but success in your future endeavors.
My revisions to this are coming soon.

My top 4 is probably:
1. Spencer Danielson
2. Mack Leftwich
3. Brian Hartline
4. Jeff Traylor
Pipe Dreams: Rhett Lashlee, Lincoln Riley (if fired at USC)
3 years too late.
Thank you for listening to your fanbase @DougMcNameeBU.
Day after thoughts:
1. AD McNamee has done a phenomenal job of rallying the fanbase behind a team that had little to no hope to start the year. Coach Aranda squandered that in 60 minutes.
2. Defense is still really good, and didn't allow 20 points again. The clear issue is the offensive play calling. I don't know if it's Lagway or not, but Spav has regressed substantially.
3. TCU owns us. We can be an 11-1 team, and that one loss will always be TCU. As long as Dave Aranda is the coach, TCU will own us.
4. The fanbase is done. We won't see a full McLane for a long time. And that, to me, is the saddest part. Everything was there for this team to gain serious momentum in the Big 12, and now we're behind the 8 ball (again).
5. Dave Aranda is now 40-39 in his tenure, 1-6 against TCU, 7-13 in Big 12 home games, and 1-12 against AP-ranked opponents. No reasonable athletic department looks at those records and views them as a success.
The chances are up. 7 years of mediocrity and continuously losing to our biggest rival. Things need to change, and they need to happen now.
