New favourite thing is getting agents to research and build custom music comps and package them into Jellyfin. For this ‘Origins of YMO’ one I instructed the agent to ‘blow the budget’ on the cover art 😂
There’s been people living in this old church near my house for at least the last 10 years, getting battered by the western sun on this wall every summer with these silly shade sails. Why haven’t they just planted a few deciduous trees?
I don't know if I love being called 'the human'. Feels like a short leap from 'the human will sync this file later' to 'exterminate the human' 😳
I've had another crack at using a mechanical keyboard since I discovered this Logitech one 'for macs' today. I figured it'd be low profile but, like others I've tried, I have to lift my wrists off the desk. This is the thing I actually really love about the Magic Keyboard. How do other people work around this? 90s style foam wrist rests? Hardening the fuck up?
Small thing in Waffle, my auto-tiling Mac terminal:
⌘W once → close warning (if something's running)
⌘W twice → window closes
Sensible defaults, no menu maze.
I built a free macOS terminal that auto-tiles every session into a grid.
No tmux. No config. Just open terminals.
Running 6 Claude Code agents across 3 repos was chaos.
Now I can see everything at once and switch between terminal windows and repo groups with my keyboard.
Built with Swift 6 / SwiftUI on @migueldeicaza's SwiftTerm. waffle.baby
That Mark Fisher went from depressed blogger writing about jungle and the slow cancellation of the future to being the favourite philosopher of an AI model too dangerous to release is not something I could ever have expected but it's 1000% on brand.
My five year old just said, apropos of nothing, "Claude is a poo", I presume, because he thought that might the most shocking thing he could say to my wife and I.
"The washing powder is powerful and hardworking. It gives you real value for money." Meeting adjourned.
After years of happily paying for Harvest (because it integrates with Xero and sends invoices that don't look like complete garbage) I logged in today to find it's been acquired by Bending Spoons.
New year, clean break.
I spent the afternoon using Claude Code to build my own simple Xero-integrated invoicing app. It has the clean aesthetic I liked about Harvest, but with CSS and Liquid templating for even better customisation.
