Politics aside, AriseTV is an irresponsible media house that has positioned itself to promote lies, divisive narratives and employ incompetent and clueless individuals as public facing journalists. If nothing is done about their irresponsible media engagements, the danger they will do to public information dissemination will be beyond repairs.

Thank you, and God bless @Chinaluemmanuel & @egi_nupe for your work and for exposing their lies. Most of these guys are just mischievous; they all know the lies they peddle about the judgment. Most Nigerians’ poor reading habits often allow them to thrive on this f°°lishness.
This is not true. The reason why I asked for the judgment, and with the help of @egi_nupe, the judgment has been made available to the world, is to ensure that the wave of fake news on this matter is nipped in the bud. Mrs Lami had a Lawyer throughout the trial. Her Lawyer also filed a Final Written Address on her behalf, where he argued her case and urged the Court to discharge and acquit Mrs Lami. Please read the judgment; it is up there!

If you have not put your personal affairs out there, especially on this app, please desist from doing that. There is no wisdom in it, for whatever reason you might want to. At first, it might seem like you are just doing your thing; sharing freely, living openly, or simply expressing yourself. But on a deeper reflection, there is no good return for it. There are so many people out there who walk around carrying hatred, evil minds, misfortunes, and personal frustrations. They are often looking for something, anything, to use against you, or waiting for the slightest chance to twist your personal affairs and score cheap points in a public discussion. Once it is out there, you no longer control how it is received or used. Protect yourself.

While I was taking my morning walk today, I saw a mallam selling Pentazocine injections. This is an opioid, a dangerous drug that should be sold only in a proper pharmacy or hospital with a prescription. The discussion about it being original or fake is another topic entirely. How did we descend to the point where people hawk opioid injections? States have to step up and create their laws to cover the gaps in NAFDAC.

There is no point in explaining any economic reform of the president to the common man when a youth leader with nothing upstairs, an empty barrel, can confidently come online to display brand-new cars for his boys. What a foolish guy with no sense of awareness or emotional intelligence. And I also blame the weak opposition for his rascality, maybe if they had active youth leaders he could have learnt one or two things from them. The country is struggling to increase the minimum wage, fund salaries for health workers, soldiers, lecturers, and students; businesses are groaning under high lending rates; but this airhead who can't articulate his impact on the people feels it's the right time to post luxury cars for some random nonentities. We give struggling students loans, then splash N150m on cars for youth leaders and flaunt it in their faces. What is this guy's input in the party? All he does is fly private jets, sleep in hotels and flaunt his lavish lifestyle in the faces of struggling Nigerians. He doesn't join spaces, you won't see him on TV speaking to the party manifesto, he does nothing. I implore all the sensible youths in the party to sign a petition for the APC Youth Leader's resignation. The cars should be retrieved and sold and the money, wherever it came from, channeled to either Nelfund or the Basic Health Provision Fund. I need someone to create the petition link, we need to get this dunce out of that office. His brain has migrated to his protruding stomach. Absolute nonsense...

What else do I add to this now?
Politics is incredibly tribal. Most of those in one tribe can see nothing their tribe does wrong or anything good done by another political tribe.

How Una Dey Take Do am? Under Buhari, Nyesom Wike and Reno Omokri were your heroes. You celebrated them and there was nothing bad anyone could say about them to you. Under Tinubu, same people have become your worst villains and there's nothing good anyone can say about them to you. When killings happen in another region, you are loud in protest and vocal activism. When it happens in your own region, you go mute or explain it away when the culprits are your kith and kin. A president derogatorilly labels a group of people as 'dot in a circle' and you call him out, justifiably though. Another president labels entire country "shit hole" or "disgraced" or any other derogatory words and you celebrate him. A politician tells lies and you call him out or affirms criticism against him. Your favorite religious figure does same and you find a thousand and one reason why he must not be called out let alone criticised. Whoever you like can never ever be wrong on anything. Whoever you don't like or hate can never ever be right on anything. Whether this is some sort of charisma or ingenuity, I can't tell. I'm just wondering how una dey take do am🤷‍♂️ 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♂️🚶‍♂️🚶‍♂️

"As a person, whenever you think of misbehaving, consider the consequences." I have nothing more to add to this than to say: Those who have ears, let them hear, and those who have eyes, let them see.
On the 8th July, 2010, at Akpautong Ikot Udo Idemtown in Essien Udim Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, one Imo Denis Akpan Obot (the Appellant) was engaged in an argument with Mr Aniefon Patrick Umoh (the deceased) in front of the deceased’s house. The argument was about whose father had a bigger house in the community. The Appellant claimed the deceased injured him. After the argument, the Appellant went home, later returned to the deceased's house and gave the deceased a deep machete cut around his neck and shoulder, resulting in the deceased's death. The Appellant fled the scene upon being sighted by the deceased's brother. Three days after, the Appellant was arrested. He was investigated and later charged and arraigned before the High Court of Akwa-Ibom State, Ikot Ekpene Judicial Division, for Murder In his defence, he argued that he did not intend to kill the deceased as he was initially attacked and injured by the deceased. He further argued that he aimed at the deceased's hand, but the deceased dodged, and the machete struck the deceased's neck. The trial Court convicted him and sentenced him to death by hanging. His appeals to the Court of Appeal failed. His appeal to the Supreme Court was dismissed on the 27th of March 2026. ----- There was no way the Court would not have convicted him. Looking at the circumstances of the case, the defences of provocation, accident and insanity were not available to Mr Imo Denis Akpan Obot. As a person, whenever you think of misbehaving, consider the consequences.

ABUJA POLICE BUST "ONE-CHANCE" GANG! Let me tell you something. Every time I hear about "one-chance" robbers, my blood boils. These are not petty thieves. These are predators who disguise themselves as transport operators and prey on innocent Nigerians just trying to get home. But today? The FCT Police got them. Two suspected members of a "one-chance" robbery syndicate were arrested around Court of Appeal Junction in Abuja. Okwudili Benjamin, 41. Chinedu Mbaka, 37. They were intercepted in a Toyota Camry. Recovered: 9 Android phones, pliers, a wheel lock, and other robbery tools. The investigation didn't stop there. Police tracked down an alleged receiver, Osondu Benard, at NPC Junction, Nyanya. He is now in custody. All three are being investigated for possible links to a wider network. This is what proactive policing looks like. As a soldier, I know what it means to protect lives. And I know that criminals like these don't just steal phones they steal dignity, they steal peace of mind, and sometimes they steal lives. Every arrest is a community saved. To the FCT Police well done. Keep the pressure on. To the one-chance gang members still out there your days are numbered. The net is closing. To Nigerians stay vigilant. Trust your instincts. If a vehicle feels wrong, it probably is. Report suspicious activity. Your information saves lives. God bless the FCT Police Command. God bless Nigeria.

Thinking about it, it’s really pointless fighting people you don’t know on social media. Social media is a place where all manners of people come to express themselves for different reasons. Some are happy; some are sad; some are depressed; some are rich; some are poor; some are frustrated and the list continues. So you really don’t know who you are dealing with, or what people are dealing with in their private lives offline.

When I resumed, the reports were there: operatives driving Range Rovers, living in Maitama. So we asked them directly — where did the house come from? The car? “A gift from my brother abroad.” Fine. Where is the evidence? That is why we built a Gift and Hospitality Policy. Any asset above a set threshold must be declared and registered. The law permits certain traditional gifts; we define which ones you may accept and which you may not. We renamed the Department of Internal Affairs the Department of Ethics and Integrity, because the work it does is internal cleansing. In under three years I have dismissed over 40 staff for corruption and financial malpractice. More than five are already being prosecuted, with more case files in preparation. Those cases are in open court — you can follow them. If I investigate and prosecute people in other MDAs for this, why would I merely dismiss my own? #EFCC #Olukoyede #Integrity #GiftPolicy #InternalCleansing #Accountability #Nigeria #FightAgainstCorruption

Once, I arrived Lagos by train from Ibadan and tried to order Lagride home from the Yaba train station. I couldn't find a driver online. I tried Bolt and Indrive. The wait times were long so I stepped out, despite the light showers, to seek a danfo or bike to take me to Yaba. Right outside the terminus, there were at least 5 Lagride cars parked with their drivers asking me if I needed a ride. They abandoned the app to do private deals using cars which had been subsidized by the Lagos taxpayer. I left Lagos in February 2024 so maybe the situation has changed since, but I have seen this attitude with drivers in Ibadan, Ilorin, Abuja and even in Kano. Sharp practices, undercutting the apps and taking advantage of both the apps and desperate customers. I maintain that our leaders simply reflect who we are and Nigerians are the problem of Nigeria. Until we change, nothing will change.

AFTER 17 YEARS… THE LINE RUNS AGAIN. 25/08/2026 Yesterday marked a significant milestone in the journey to bring Okin Biscuits back. For the first time in 17 years, biscuits rolled off one of our rehabilitated production lines at the factory in Offa. We had to rebuild the line after having all cables, frequency drives, contactors, motors and other electronic components stolen This was a technical TRIAL RUN - NOT a product trial. At this stage, we were not concerned about colour, appearance or achieving the final Okin recipe. The objective was simple: Can we bring this line, silent for 17 years, back to life? And we did ! And there was another major milestone: IBEDC officially connected the factory to a 33Kva Band A electricity grid today. There is still work ahead. More testing. More calibration. More rehabilitation. And, of course, getting that familiar Okin taste and quality exactly right before the biscuits return to the market. But today, we celebrate progress. The machines are turning. The ovens are firing. The biscuits are beginning to roll out again. One step at a time. Okin is coming back. #OkinBiscuits #OkinIsComingBack #Since1980 #MadeInNigeria #Offa #Ijagbo

It's within your rights to decide what to celebrate. It's also not inappropriate for the people of Oyo town and its environs to be happy; they have, for many years, endured the hardship of traveling out of their towns for 🇳🇬 passport renewals and other NIS-related purposes.
Replying to @NigeriaStories
In 2026? We are celebrating this in 2026? God abeg!
