These are simply ideology arguments not backed by any data or facts of experience. We need to stop promoting things like this now. We private capital has delivered on banking. Telecoms. Cement & oil products...we have enough references and electricity wont be any different
"Overall, we cannot leave electrification to market forces alone. They will not fully deliver the potential for energy security, affordability and emission reductions."
Markets are pushing electrification. Governments must push harder

You are the Secretary to the Campaign Council of Isa Ashiru Kudan. Since your appointment, you have largely avoided engaging in substantive discussions on social media, particularly when challenged to present the records and achievements of the candidate you are supporting.
Even your last interview appeared to focus more on articulating grammar than presenting concrete ideas, policies and evidence of performance. Not because you lack the competence to discuss these issues, but perhaps because what you are trying to sell has very little substance to show.
The challenge you are throwing is not new to us. However, I suggest that you find an unbiased panel of moderators who will ask objective questions based on governance, track records, achievements and the policy direction both candidates intend to pursue in the next election.
More importantly, before organising such a debate, put together a comprehensive document that your supporters can study, understand and defend. Let them know what Isa Ashiru Kudan intends to do differently, what his policy alternatives are, and how his proposed administration would improve on what the current governor is doing.
Politics should go beyond grammar, rhetoric and criticism.
If you are asking the people to consider an alternative, you must first show them what that alternative looks like.
We wont go to court has run to appeal a judgement they dont like...association of mumu @atiku lates
Is it that these people who call themselves core North, instead of opposition are so foolish or just daft 🙄? You say you won't vote for someone & he starts looking for new voters in Middle belt, SS & SE instead, & you're all here crying!! Abeg why? Like seriously! Are you daft?
Why did you allow AGN remove me from your space without removing him too?

Our elders have spoken, we have listened, and the Middle Belt is ready for action!
I vividly recall when our respected Middle Belt elders reached out to me in Dubai ahead of the 2023 general election, asking me to mobilise our people in support of His Excellency, Peter Obi.
They considered my experience in comradeship, activism, advocacy and mobilisation, and believed I had what it would take to rally our people behind the movement.
Without hesitation, I abandoned everything and committed myself wholeheartedly to the assignment. We set targets, mobilised our people across the Middle Belt and worked tirelessly for the Labour Party. The result was a massive show of support for Peter Obi in the region.
Today, history has presented us with another defining moment.
Despite the overwhelming support the Middle Belt gave Peter Obi and the opposition in 2023, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu did not turn his back on our region. He did not write off our people or ignore the Middle Belt. Instead, he recognised the region, created opportunities and demonstrated that the Middle Belt remains an important part of Nigeria’s political and national development.
The recent meeting between President Tinubu and prominent Middle Belt leaders, including General Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma, is another significant moment in our political journey. It demonstrates the importance of dialogue, engagement and collective leadership in determining the future of our region.
I have also had the privilege of joining other youth leaders from the Middle Belt in meeting with Seyi Tinubu. This engagement further reinforces the importance of building bridges between generations, strengthening relationships and ensuring that the voices, aspirations and concerns of our young people are heard at the highest levels.
When elders of this standing speak and take the lead, the younger generation must listen, reflect and act.
That gesture and leadership must not be taken for granted.
Our elders have spoken again, and this time, we must listen with the same commitment, courage and determination with which we answered their call in 2023.
This is bigger than personal interests, political sentiments or individual ambitions. It is about respect for our elders, the collective interest of our people and the future we want to build for generations yet unborn.
Let this also serve as a clear message to anyone who thinks the Middle Belt can be taken for granted or politically undermined. Our people are politically conscious, organised and capable of making their voices heard. When our elders speak with one voice, we must stand together.
However, I have a special appeal to all beneficiaries of Asiwaju’s benevolence, appointments, empowerment programmes and political opportunities.
You must ensure that the ordinary people of the Middle Belt feel the positive impact of this government. The benefits of government must not end in Abuja, political offices, boardrooms or among a privileged few.
They must reach our villages, rural communities, unemployed youths, struggling families, market women and other vulnerable members of our society.
It is not enough to celebrate appointments and political recognition if the poor people who constitute the backbone of our communities cannot point to any meaningful improvement in their lives.
Let us take the message of hope and opportunity to the grassroots. Let us use the positions, influence and privileges we have received to uplift others. The people must feel the impact of the opportunities we celebrate.
For to whom much is given, much is expected.
We cannot continue to enjoy the benefits of collective struggle and remain silent when the moment calls for collective responsibility.
I answered the call in 2023. Today, I am answering the call of our elders once again.
Our elders have spoken. We have listened. We have taken action. The Middle Belt must move forward together!
Atikubis no longer the candidate of the ADC. The new candidate is Prof. Chris Uba...just incase you forgot lol 😆
Dear Nigerians, going into 2027 elections, I have finally resolved from strong CONVICTIONs and environmental awareness that HE @atiku is a SAINT in the Nigeria polity.
The APC will be struggling to get 25% in all 36 states of Nigeria including the FCT!
It’s the turn of robust policy engineering and competence for Nigeria.
Atiku and the ADC is the only pathway for an AFFORDABLE Nigeria for all.
Atikulates dey cry all over the TL...sope otilor
Dear Nigerians,
Any further judicial witch-hunt targeting opposition parties, whether the ADC, APM, LP or the Bayelsians NDC, must be met with firm, lawful and united resistance. We must not allow the judiciary to become an instrument of political persecution. Nigerians must make their voices heard, including through peaceful mass protests at the gates of Aso Rock.
It is increasingly evident that Bola Tinubu and his political allies are unwilling to face a genuinely competitive election or submit their record of governance to the judgment of Nigerians. His administration must answer for the economic hardship, institutional decline and widespread frustration across the country.
Any attempt to undermine the electoral process must be resisted through every lawful means available. Sovereignty belongs to the Nigerian people, not to any president or political party. No government has the right to disregard the rule of law or treat citizens as subjects without accountability.
Bola Tinubu will face the Nigerian people in 2027, and we are determined to defeat him at the ballot box. His political chapter must come to an end through the sovereign will of Nigerians.
Nigeria belongs to Nigerians!
Atiku Otilor
Baba Subsidy, @officialABAT and his rabid attack dog, Wike, will witness a political resistance they have never seen before!
The whole of Nigeria, alongside the combined forces of opposition parties, whether united or acting independently, will make this government answer for its actions.
If Bola Tinubu attempts to remove the ADC from the 2027 ballot through political manoeuvring or the weaponisation of the judiciary, Nigerians will exercise their sovereign power and reject this authoritarian overreach.
The APC must face Nigerians at the polls with its scorecard. No amount of intimidation, political persecution or weaponisation of the judiciary will shield this government from accountability or make the opposition disappear.
@atiku remains the leading opposition figure, and we stand firmly and unapologetically behind him.
2027 is about accountability, democracy and the sovereign will of the Nigerian people.
ADC, arise and shine!
Lol 😆 person wey don commot for ballot...maybe president 2031
Institutional reformer and policy engineer!
You’re the President, Nigeria yearn for!
Atiku will be our next President and no narcotic filled brains or whiskey drunken fellow will get in our way!
Nigerians carry @atiku for head, straight to aso rock!
BREAKING NEWS : @atiku removes presidential candidate of ADC from his name.
BOLA CANNOT USE THE COURTS TO ESCAPE THE PEOPLE’S VERDICT; WE ARE ON THE BALLOT — ATIKU
Fellow Nigerians,
Let no one mistake the latest court ruling for the will of the Nigerian people. No manipulation, conjecture or concoction can erase our place in this contest, silence our campaign or deny Nigerians the right to choose their future. We are on the ballot, and the people must be allowed to decide.
Those who boast of having thirty-two governors and claim to have bought, pressured or coerced leaders from other parties into their fold should have no reason to fear a free and fair contest. Yet, instead of presenting their record to Nigerians, they continue to deploy every tactic available to weaken the opposition: political pressure, manufactured narratives, courtroom manoeuvres and attempts to compromise the voters’ register with AI-generated photographs, false names and fictitious identities. These are not the actions of people confident in their record. They are calculated attempts to make genuine competition impossible and push Nigeria towards a one-party state.
And what record do they have to defend? This government removed the fuel subsidy overnight without a plan to protect Nigerians. It presided over the steep decline of the naira and allowed food prices to rise beyond the reach of ordinary families. Factories and small businesses have shut their doors. Our young people are leaving in search of hope, while bandits and kidnappers continue to hold communities hostage.
Look around you. Market stalls stand empty. Feeding your family has become a daily struggle. Fuel prices keep rising, and silent pain fills homes across the country. Those in power may want you to believe that your suffering does not matter. They may want you to surrender your future before you even reach the ballot box. Do not lose heart. Do not retreat. Your vote is your power, and together, we will take our country back.
Let me be clear to every Nigerian who has stood with us: I am in this race. I am not going anywhere. We will be on the ballot. No threat, blackmail or court manoeuvre will make me abandon you or the cause we share.
We will resist with all our strength every attempt to turn Nigeria into a one-party state. Nigeria belongs to all its people. Our democracy must remain open to more than one party and more than one voice. If those in power believe in their numbers and their record, let us meet at the polls in a free, fair and credible contest.
Our campaign will continue. Our message on the cost of living will not be silenced or derailed. Stay calm, united and resolute. Together, we will fight for a Nigeria where life is affordable and every citizen’s vote counts.
Let me say this plainly: Bola cannot use the courts to escape the judgment of Nigerians at the ballot box.

With an angry @Republicans caucus in control of Congress until January 2027 and emboldened congressional @TheDemocrats preparing to investigate President Bola Tinubu's mining MOU, the Nigerian Presidency (@officialABAT) picked the wrong time to pull off its latest alleged attempt to rig the upcoming Nigerian presidential election.
Apparently scared by yesterday's turnout in support of former Nigerian Vice President @atiku Abubakar, who happens to be President Tinubu's main political opponent, Tinubu's officials reportedly met last night, and the result of that meeting is allegedly this highly suspicious court ruling.
We are gathering more information and will be engaging with senior members of the @realDonaldTrump administration, as well as Republicans and Democrats in Congress. The alleged actions of President Tinubu risk pushing Nigeria closer to political unrest, with dire consequences for U.S. interests and regional stability.

TINUBU’S EDUCATION REFORMS DELIVER N372B STUDENTS' LOAN, 160,000 TVET ENROLMENTS
- Secures $552m for basic education, expands technical colleges
- Stabilises academic calendar in tertiary institutions
- Returns over 1 million out-of-school children to classrooms
President Bola Tinubu's reforms in the education sector since he assumed office have expanded access to learning, improved teachers' welfare, and stabilised the academic calendar across higher institutions in the country.
According to the Federal Ministry of Education through its Nigerian Education Sector Renewal Initiative (NESRI) 2026 report, the government's interventions cover basic and secondary education, technical and vocational training, and tertiary education.
The reforms focus on six priority areas: technical and vocational education, science and medical sciences, out-of-school children, girl-child education, digitalisation and education quality assurance.
*Increased funding for basic education*
According to the NESRI report, the Federal Government allocated a record ₦3.52 trillion to education in the 2026 budget and secured $552 million for the HOPE-EDU programme, which targets 29 million children, over 500,000 teachers and 65,000 public schools.
The report said the BESDA programme has returned over one million out-of-school children to learning, trained 1,400 Tsangaya teachers and established 200 bilingual centres across 17 northern states.
It added that the AGILE programme has reached 7.19 million girls, with 3.7 million enrolled in secondary schools, while over 10,000 schools have benefited from improved facilities.
*Curriculum reform and teacher development*
The NESRI index indicated that the administration has introduced a revised national curriculum that reintroduces Nigerian History and strengthens Civic and Heritage Studies. For instance, the National Learning Assessment has been restored to monitor pupils’ performance and identify learning gaps.
Under EduRevamp, 53,553 teachers have registered, while 51,794 joined the first cohort of the Accelerated Teacher Professionalisation Pathway (ATPP), a six-month programme offering professional qualifications, certification and licensing.
Backed by ₦2 billion, the programme targets 250,000 teachers by 2027. The Inspire Live initiative also provides online lessons from Primary One to Senior Secondary School Three, supported by certified teachers and AI-assisted learning.
*TVET programme records over 156,000 beneficiaries*
Under President Tinubu’s administration, the TVET scheme has attracted over 2.8 million applications, with 156,446 verified trainees receiving free training, monthly stipends and start-up support.
More than ₦65.7 billion has already been disbursed to trainees, while another sum of ₦30.2 billion has gone to training centres. The government has also rehabilitated 38 technical colleges and introduced free technical education covering tuition, boarding, textbooks, and uniforms.
*NELFUND disburses ₦372.62bn.
NELFUND, a flagship programme of the Tinubu administration in the education sector, has processed 1,659,853 student loan applications and disbursed ₦372.62 billion, comprising ₦192.89 billion for tuition and ₦179.73 billion for upkeep allowances across 319 tertiary institutions.
The administration has resolved the long-standing dispute between the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and implemented the agreement, which provided a 40% increase in academic staff remuneration and improved welfare benefits.
Additionally, the Tertiary Institutions Staff Support Fund has disbursed ₦28 billion to 15,000 workers across 153 public institutions, offering eligible staff loans of up to ₦10 million for housing, healthcare, transportation and education.
*Expansion of medical and STEMM education*
Under President Tinubu's leadership, the Federal Government is investing ₦110 billion to rehabilitate 18 federal medical schools across the six geopolitical zones. Nursing enrolment rose from 81,480 in 2023 to 114,300 in 2025, while 20 STEM-focused tertiary institutions have been approved and 12 engineering and technology faculties are targeted for rehabilitation.
*Research, innovation and entrepreneurship*
Equally, the Federal Government has provided ₦365 million annually for research and innovation through the National Laureate Prize, while the Student Venture Capital Grant has disbursed over ₦2.5 billion to 45 student entrepreneurs. Each beneficiary can access up to ₦50 million in equity-free funding.
Entrepreneurship certification is ongoing in 14 federal universities, while the Diaspora BRIDGE initiative has registered 1,141 Nigerian experts abroad and reached 16,675 students across 107 tertiary institutions.
Speaking on the achievements recorded so far in the sector, Minister of Education, Dr Tunji Alausa, noted that the success of President Tinubu-led education reforms would be measured by their impact on students, teachers and institutions rather than the amount of money allocated or the number of programmes introduced.
“Our measure of success is not merely the amount of money allocated to education or the number of programmes introduced. It is the difference these interventions make in the lives of our children, students, teachers and institutions,” he said.
