Nobody is attacking platonic male friendships. The issue is when bromance becomes a commercially safer substitute for BL, allowing production companies to profit from queer chemistry without actually portraying queer relationships. And that directly risks pushing gay stories
My serious question is : since when did portraying platonic relationships between men become an act of h0m0phobia? Do you actually know the definition of this term, or are you just throwing around big words to seem important for once in your life?
Moreover, I’m genuinely struggling to understand how a handful of bromance productions out of over 30 announced shows somehow translates into the company prioritising bromance over BL. Like, are you ffr??
And for the love of everything, don’t even try to use the “it’s qu33rbaiting” argument. I’m so tired of it. Please, for once, go and look up the definition of words before using them.
And as my final thought/question: how can you, on the one hand, advocate for diversity in series and genres while simultaneously arguing that one particular type of genre shouldn’t have a place in the industry?
Thank you for coming to my TED talk

let me hold the hand of bromance enablers & tell them that the company is NOT forcing your favs to NOT kiss, they simply don't want to. it's a conscious choice of wanting the BL flowers without doing a BL. anyway this ain't a safe place for y'all. i WILL drag ur favs thru mud ❤️
BROMANCE IS HOMOPHOBIA! For some time now, we’ve been witnessing the growing presence of bromance in the company’s lineups. Today, everything became even clearer: the number has TRIPLED.
We will use our voices to push the hashtag #StopBromanceGMMTV. WE WILL NOT ACCEPT THIS. We don’t want implications and teasing. We want genuine LGBTQ+ relationships represented on screen.
WE are the customers. Production companies exist to meet the demands of THE AUDIENCE that consumes, supports, and sustains their productions. WE ARE NOT OBLIGATED to accept whatever they choose to give us, let alone applaud setbacks like this.
Either you take action NOW, ENGAGE, AND DEMAND CHANGE, or don’t be surprised when half of next year’s lineup is filled with stories that remain stuck in the realm of “what if”, with no courage to embrace what they keep hinting at.
Enough disrespect toward fans who wait YEARS for these productions, only to receive stories that refuse to deliver what they promise, while BL productions are being reduced in number and offered in a rather peculiar and limited quality. And that’s when they get anything at all. How many BL ships were left out today? The trend is clear, and there’s only one direction this is heading.
WE WILL NOT FUND INVISIBILITY. We will not accept this setback, because WE are the ones who get to speak up. WE are the customers. MAKE YOUR VOICES HEARD. #GMMTVNEXT

i will never support bromance specially never in an industry and country where there is no censorship like wdym gay marriage is legal in your country and you want to queerbait

call it what it is. queerbaiting. real male friendships don't have all these underlying feelings and tension. it's not NOT a bl just because they don't kiss

Isso, vai nessa pra você ver daqui uns anos como vai estar …
I'm honestly so frustrated with some of y'all. How many times do these actors have to say that they choose the scripts they want to work on? GMM isn't forcing anyone into a series they don't want to do. The company hasn't robbed you of anything. The reality is that these actors want opportunities to work with different actors and take on new projects. Why is that so difficult to accept?
And the complaints about bromance supposedly replacing BLs are just ridiculous. There are approximately five bromance projects in the lineup compared to 18 BLs. So where exactly is this replacement happening? The numbers don't even support the argument you're making. At some point, y'all need to take a step back, respect the actors' choices, and get a grip.
