ALT A page from Throne of the Fire King. Burn, a young red dragon, walks into the lodge and takes a broom off a shelf before going upstairs. Burn: It's not fair. I'm almost as old as him! And I'm just as strong. Make me sweep out the stupid guest room.. He's no better than me! What did I do?
ALT A blue-tinted watercolor illustration of Tsunami, a SeaWing dragon, from the Wings of Fire books. She is swimming in a breaking wave, nose and claw breaking the surface. Seaweed and little fish swirl in the water below her; seagulls fly overhead.
ALT A green-tinted illustration of Ferra, a protagonist from Throne of the Fire King, standing in the forest. In the foreground the trees and ground are covered with thick moss and ferns; in the background more pine trees fade into the distance. Ferra looks pensive and a little sad.
ALT A page from my comic Free Snacks. Everything is tinted bright pink. The protagonist, a businessman with a rainbow tie, finds a box of donuts spilled on the ground and their eyes fill with tears. The text boxes read: They were lying in a puddle/ Half-dry, half-wet, in a huddle/ A sticky, sugared, doughy muddle/ The sight it did my brain befuddle. Who had dropped these donuts here?/ Scattered sadly far and near?/ In these parts donuts come quite dear/ Seeing them, I shed a tear.
ALT A drawing of Nelah from the video game Riven, holding a dagger and a prison book. Around her are glyphs of Rivenese wildlife and some sketches of structures from Riven.
