Have you heard of Ontario’s Slow Down, Move Over Law? Here’s what you should know:
When approaching an emergency vehicle with flashing red or red and blue lights, or a tow truck with flashing amber lights stopped on the side of the road, drivers are required by law to:
• slow down and proceed with caution
• if the road has two or more lanes and it’s safe to do so, move into the other lane to provide space. These measures help protect emergency response personnel.
Let’s all do our part to keep our first responders safe on our roads and highways!

When firefighters answer the call, they put everything on the line.
Firefighters risk their lives every day to protect our communities, so it’s only right that we support them by ensuring they have the resources they need to stay protected and confident on the job.
Today, I had the opportunity to visit St. Catharines Fire Services to tour their new Training Tower, supported with over $1 million of funding through our government, where firefighters can train in real world conditions and prepare for the challenges they face protecting our communities.

It was great meeting with @opffa and hearing directly from the frontline heroes who keep our communities safe.
Their insights are essential as we work together to strengthen protections, improve services, and support those who put themselves at risk for others.
Making sure they have the tools they need to succeed is essential to keeping Ontarians safe across the province.
