ALT NS-18 astronaut Audrey Powers with her back facing the camera and floating weightlessly, stares out the window of the New Shepard crew capsule. A large grey cylinder, which houses the solid rocket motor portion of the capsule escape system, is at the center of the capsule. Powers foot floats out behind her and beside the cylinder. Through the window in the distance is the Earth. The other three NS-18 astronauts are seen floating at the edge of the image. (October 13, 2021)

ALT Neil Armstrong's long shadow and the shadow of the camera are in the foreground. At the time, Armstrong was standing above the level of the Lunar Module's circular footpads, so it appears like he's on a gradual slope. The lunar lander is off in the distance, looking like a gray spacecraft with orange and golden protective mylar, or material that resembles aluminum to the average person. Darkened tracks lead leftward to the deployment area of the Early Apollo Surface Experiments Package (EASEP) and rightward to the TV camera. The lunar surface is gray, uneven, and rocky with stones of varying sizes. The sky is completely black because the camera's exposure setting is set to capture light in the foreground, not in the background.
