80% of the papers in today's cabinet were presented by women. The cabinet today was also nearly gender balanced (46% women ministers), affirming my government's commitment to women's empowerment.
The energy reverberating in the room was amplified by the fact that 25% of today's cabinet are below age 40.
This is the most diverse and inclusive cabinet ever, and we are poised to drive impactful change for a better Sierra Leone.

Today, I joined the leadership of our great SLPP to bid farewell to Dr. S. U. M. Jah. He dedicated his life to serving humanity as a medical practitioner and in many roles as a public servant at the highest levels of government.
Dr. Jah both inspired and touched so many lives. He was a role model in his commitment to Bo School and OBBA. He will be sorely missed but always fondly remembered.
My profound condolences go to the Jah family. Thank you for letting us share the virtues, life, and services of Dr. Jah.
May Allah forgive his sins and grant his soul eternal rest in peace.

#FeedSalone is an all of government program. And it’s not just about rice. Today, I signed an MoU with @ormanbangs, Minister of Youth, and Princess Dugba, Minister of Fisheries and Marine Resources, to pilot 12 fish ponds for youth in 8 districts. Together #WeWillFeedSalone.

At the town hall today, I am very excited that I spoke from the heart in Krio, to Sierra Leoneans from all walks of life.
During our fambul tok (family talk), I outlined the great progress we have made on our Big Five Agenda and throughout the previous five
We spoke about the premier pride of place and respectability that Sierra Leone holds in the international community in Africa and at the global United Nations
These frank conversations with citizens enrich our democracy and show our dedication to open and transparent government.
This interaction also demonstrates that people and their well-being and livelihoods are at the centre of our policies.
We will continue to engage our citizens as we work to Feed Salone and meet the bold and ambitious agenda we have set ourselves in transforming this land that we love.

Inspired and energized by our very productive meeting with @UNDPAfrica chief @ahunnaeziakonwa. #Africa’s transformation requires intentional investment in #mindsetshift of our #youngpeople as @PresidentBio has envisioned with the creation of a #civiceducation ministry. #UNDP and #SierrraLeone will work together to advance this model and build on our existing excellent relationship. @ormanbangs and I were buzzing about the prospects from this vibrant conversation! #SaloneAboveAllElse

On his re-election for a second term, H.E. @PresidentBio appointed a Cabinet reflecting #SierraLeone’s diverse, vibrant and youthful population. 10 of the Government Ministers are under the age of 40. There is a member of Cabinet from all 16 districts of Sierra Leone and a 34% female representation that not only meets but exceeds the minimum threshold enshrined in our Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment Act.
With the groundbreaking Cabinet, there is certainly the question of delivery. Is there a pressure to deliver? Join us to hear from some of the Ministers.
The screening will be followed by a panel discussion.
