Thank you, Rep. @mikehowardmn, for reminding us of so many of the successes we accomplished as advocates last session, and that “we are just getting started.” We can do it, and every year is a $ year. #mnleg #mchdoth

“We can be champions. We can help people come home.” - @LtGovFlanagan Today at #mchdoth, @LtGovFlanagan asked advocates for support in asking for the Housing Stability Act to receive a hearing in the Senate. mprnews.org/story/2024/02/29… #mnleg

Minnesota legislation would prohibit discrimination against renters using Section 8 vouchers

The Housing Stability Act, which was introduced in mid-February, would add rental assistance under the definition of public assistance, which is a protected class under the state law.

OSCS staff members are looking good in their new team shirts! After a recent staff training, we took advantage of a beautiful summer day to get a group photo. It’s impossible to say who styled the shirt best, but we were grateful for the opportunity to learn together as a team.

This week, representatives from @Siena_Francis in Omaha visited our Emergency Shelter to connect and learn more about our approach to medical respite. It was great to chat about similarities and differences across our communities in services for people experiencing homelessness.
