I watched the parade go by.
Kept my left hand in my pocket, rubbing my thumb across my worry stone.
I tried to stay as hidden as I could under my umbrella.
The lack of rain didn't help me much, so I folded it.
A toddler scrambled under the yellow safety tape heading right for a float filled with stuffed animals.
The float didn't even slow down. I caught the back of his suspender with the handle of my umbrella.
Imagine my horror at the cheers of those nearby.

Any person, place, or thing that you "say" is an enemy:
Is something you created internally.

I went to a party when I was younger.
Found an empty chair and played guitar while everyone else lost themselves in alcohol.
Or each other.
Four new people joined and one of them caught my eye.
She seemed shy but asked me to play Creep and if I could sing.
I couldn't.
She sang along with the tune and offered me a beer at the end.
I never learned to sing.
Or drank alcohol.
For one song,
to someone,
we both got to be special.

I watch people I know grow older in lives that are theirs. I don’t know what those years feel like from their inside.
Back among old friends and familiar places, I find a part of me that wants to run away. At the same time, I feel the call to run toward adventure and expansion.
Life calls roll while the past is still in the room.
You eat.
Then you die.
Will you dance?
I know my answer:
FUCK YES

HSA eligible mattresses would do more for public health than half the prescriptions being handed out right now. 🤣
Replying to @DigitalDaisyX
It literally should be... poor sleep is linked to heart disease, obesity, diabetes, and cognitive decline. At some point a mattress is more preventive care than half the stuff insurance actually covers. 😂
Hey friends — it’s rallod.
The RALLODT Captain’s Log is now live on Amazon.
I made this journal to help you grow the same way I try to grow: one honest page at a time.
This journal is for anyone who wants a stronger mind and a more disciplined life. It trains you to take command of your thoughts, keep one promise each day, and steer toward the person you said you would become.
Used with consistency, it can change how you start your mornings, how you handle rough days, and how you see yourself. Not through a burst of motivation, but through 63 days of proof that you can stay on course.
A 63-day captain’s log for your mind.
Using this journal is the habit. One page a day trains you to take command, keep a promise, and tell the truth about your course. Do it long enough, and the practice becomes the person.
Inside you will find:
• 63 days of morning briefings and evening logs
• Daily affirmations, habit space, gratitude, and release
• 9 weekly captain’s reviews
• A closing self-assessment
• A library of every affirmation in the journal
This practice can help you build:
• A steadier mindset
• Follow-through when motivation fades
• Clearer goals
• Daily discipline you can keep
• Less drifting
• Confidence from doing the work
This is not a blank notebook. It is a 9-week voyage.
No perfect mood required. Start where you are. Keep the log. Stay on course.
Created by rallod • @RALLODT
This journal is for personal reflection and growth. It is not a substitute for professional mental health care.
Thank you for your support 🙏

You slipped and said the wrong word. Before I could say anything,
"John, don't start."
I folded paper into triangles for desktop football while you organized your notes.
I balanced one between my index finger and the desk.
"John, don't start."
We watched movies till two in the morning.
When the hero showed up to save the maiden, you swooned and I leaned closer.
"John, don't start."
You stood at the door and set your suitcase down. I heard you clear your throat and take a deep breath.
"Don't start."

You can't force this process. Sometimes it takes time to move out of a negative energy pattern. You might be on the verge of breaking through a limiting belief, which is why it feels so strong. A choice made from fear. Probably unconsciously.
Sit in it for a while. Let it rise to the surface. And then let it pass through you unobstructed. Don't judge it. That feeds resistance. Allowing dissolves resistance.
You have total control over the experience. But that control comes from feeling in presence. Trust the process. It's a gentle letting go.

Society often expects children to behave perfectly while adults excuse their own harmful reactions.
Children need consistent boundaries, but they also need adults willing to model the behavior they demand.

Someone gets home after a rough day and starts telling their partner what happened.
Before they've finished, their partner is offering solutions. Good ones, probably.
Now they're frustrated with each other.
One thought they were being helpful.
The other just wanted to be heard.
They're having two different conversations without realizing it.
