Starknet already uses hash-based STARK proofs and programmable accounts, which allow users to adopt new signature methods without changing the entire network.
But as an Ethereum L2, some security dependencies remain outside @Starknet 's control.
For example, Starknet normally publishes state-diff data to Ethereum using blobs and Ethereum's KZG commitment scheme. Its bridge and messaging also depend on Ethereum.
An independent L1 could give Starknet control over these layers, including its own consensus, data availability and cryptographic upgrade schedule.
The objective is to make the entire security stack adaptable, rather than depend on another network's migration timeline.
This is still under research. A technical white paper is the next step, and any actual transition would require a binding community vote.
Greater control over the infrastructure means greater control over how its security evolves.
Explore the technical details: quantum.starkware.co/

On @Starknet digital signatures authorize transactions, while STARK proofs verify computation. They perform different roles in keeping the network secure.
The unique side of Starknet is its programmable accounts.
Since accounts are smart contracts, developers can introduce new signature verification methods without requiring a network wide upgrade just to change account validation logic.
In simple terms, it's like replacing a door lock without rebuilding the entire house.
This flexibility matters as cryptographic threats evolve and new security methods become necessary.
It doesn't mean every account is already quantum-resistant, but it gives developers room to adapt.
Security should be built to evolve, not remain stuck with today's methods.

Don't just post about build on Arc, bro.
Don't just say you're bullish on Arc, my gee.
Put in the work and experience the infrastructure yourself. That's where genuine conviction comes from.
Start with portal.usdc.com. Explore the ecosystem, swap, bridge, send and deposit USDC. Understand how these financial activities work and how they connect to the broader vision of programmable money.
Next, head over to studio.arc.io.
Don't just open Studio and leave.
Take your time to explore, prompt, debug, iterate and experiment.
Start with a simple idea and work towards building something useful. You don't have to be an expert developer to start creating.
Make @arc House your regular home for learning and staying informed. Follow genuine updates, engage with educational resources, participate in discussions and, most importantly, share what you learn with your audience.
And if you're an Architect, understand that the role goes beyond wearing a badge or accumulating points.
It's about contributing to the ecosystem, educating others, testing products, sharing constructive feedback, supporting builders and helping more people understand what Arc is making possible.
Don't just be an Arc supporter. Become an active contributor to its growth.
Experience the technology.
Build with the tools.
Educate the community.
Bring more people along.
That's how we turn conviction into meaningful contributions and help advance Arc's vision of an economic operating system for onchain finance.
Let's put in the work, Architects.π€
