STATEHOUSE PRESS RELEASE PRESIDENT TINUBU DEPARTS ABUJA FOR MAKKAH TO PRAY FOR THE NATION President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will depart Abuja on Thursday for Makkah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to perform Umrah, an Islamic spiritual exercise involving a pilgrimage to the Holy City. The visit gives the President an opportunity for spiritual reflection, devotion, and prayers for Nigeria’s peace, unity, stability, and continued progress. While in Makkah, President Tinubu will perform the religious rites associated with Umrah, seeking Allah’s guidance and blessings for Nigeria and its people. Before leaving Abuja, President Tinubu will commission at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport some equipment acquired by the Nigerian Air Force for its operations. The President is expected back in the country next week, after completing the spiritual exercise. Bayo Onanuga Special Adviser to the President (Information & Strategy) October 28, 2026

He has been interacting with Nigerians for 4 straight years. I am sorry to tell you, this should not be a close election. Put the whole of his campaign, personality and vision together and you cannot confidently say that he is not the best option on the ballot. Assign weights to categories and let’s do it

A poor country should not be creating the richest politicians on the planet. Untenable. Simple as that.
You can be against the current administration and still understand that Nigeria is a poor country. Those are not conflicting positions.

btw, a senator earns more than the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, double a British MP, and way more than a fucking US Senator. And before the Naira crash they engineered, a senator took home more in raw US dollars than the President of the United States himself!!
I really hate this NELFUND argument. And as usual those defending the government have concluded that one of the most lavish administrations in the world cannot afford to fund tertiary education. UNESCO recommends that at least 15–20% of the federal budget be allocated to education. That is the barest minimum. But of course, this forward-thinking government of the people gives barely 5%, as there are presidential aircraft to be refurbished, SUV fleets to be upgraded, and villas to be renovated, so they cannot afford to invest in education, unfortunately. Instead, they pass the burden onto you by giving you loans. No government that blows billions on frivolities should have the audacity to tell its citizens it cannot give education the barest minimum, yet even with the second highest number of out-of-school children in the world, they do. Because they know for a fact that a number of you have reached such levels of idiocy that you will clap when they spit in your face. And scream for joy and praise them, in your poverty-induced myopia, for their "benevolence", calling it a "good initiative", and start drawing parallels to the US, UK, Canada, and Australia. They enjoyed the same education for free, pulled the ladder up behind them, and now hand you a loan instead. And yet you praise them for your future debts, calling it "interest-free" and that you can pay back "only when you're comfortable." Can you not see that you're mad?

I went through medical school. That is a lifetime's worth of "something that will kill you". You guys can carry on. I've had enough.
Do something that almost will kill you, at least twice a year. Something that if you fail it will be epic and if you succeed, it will be epic. To hope for opportunity is to leave your life to chance.

This may sound reductive but healthcare in Nigeria won’t achieve progress until insurance is figured out.

Does this guy know what he’s saying? Don’t touch your policy because you’re God and this is Gospel, abi? He’s a scary, scary human being.

“Sodom and Gomorrah” leans real hard on Sodom Everyone refers to Sodom, sodomy is a thing, sodomite, etc etc Gomorrah’s just slowly tiptoeing away like “who’s to say what we did”

APC: 11 Years In Power, Yet Still Looking To The Past — Adamolekun Eight years of Buhari and three years of Tinubu make 11 years of APC rule, yet the party is still referring to people who were in power years ago. Campaigning in a state it lost three years ago, the conversation should be centred on what has changed, not blaming the opposition for how people feel today. Adamolekun Opeyemi Active Citizen

You can't even imagine a youth leader under Obi wasting that kind of money. How?

Una just dey rage-bait me for this app.
Where did we get the medical ethics in Nigeria that allow doctors and nurses to refuse to treat patients simply because they cannot afford to pay? Why should a human being be left to die simply because they have no money? Since when did money become more important than human life?
