You know asians are smarter than us because Singapore doesn’t tax the lowest rungs which adds to their consumer spending and increases GDP.
It’s called the “marginal propensity to consume” and has a multiplier effect.
Singapore has a substantially higher GDP per person compared to the US.
People think that lowering taxes on the lower class is giving people favors but it’s better for the economy and people are too stupid to understand that 😭
THE IRS JUST RELEASED THE NEW 2027 🇺🇸 TAX BRACKETS. HERE'S HOW THEY WORK IN PLAIN ENGLISH
Every bracket got a little bigger to keep up with inflation, so you can earn a bit more before moving into a higher rate.
Step 1: Take what you earn and subtract the standard deduction. That part isn't taxed at all.
- Single: $16,600
- Married: $33,200
Step 2: Whatever's left gets taxed in layers.
Single filers:
- 10% on your first $12,800
- 12% on income up to $52,025
- 22% up to $109,125
- 24% up to $208,325
- 32% up to $264,550
- 35% up to $661,375
- 37% on anything above that
Married couples: the cutoffs are roughly double ($25,600, $104,050, $218,250, $416,650, $529,100, $793,650).
Example: You're single and earn $76,600. Subtract $16,600 and you're taxed on $60,000.
- 10% on the first $12,800 = $1,280
- 12% on the next $39,225 = $4,707
- 22% on the last $7,975 = $1,755
Total: about $7,742 in federal income tax, or roughly 10% of what you earned.
Even though you're "in" the 22% bracket, only your last $7,975 gets taxed at 22%.

The people saying that Marco Rubio will win the Latino vote if he runs for president clearly don’t understand that the vast majority of Latinos outside of Florida have a negative opinion of Cubans from Miami.

Bad policy, bad character make bad politics: erratic tariffs, impulsive Iran war, blanket pardons, apparent corruption, weaponized justice, ICE brutality, mountainous deficits, hiding Epstein, abandoning allies and coddling enemies. Hoping for a course correction, for the country and for my party.

Look at the effing markets. When the dems come to power they are going to uncover all the insider trading and pay for play schemes.
I hope every single person is jailed and we actually go back to a rule of law.

Whatever America has become I am ashamed. We didn’t even join WWII until Pearl Harbor. And now we’ve killed thousands of Iranians.
It’s evil to go along with “the end justifies the mean” type thinking.

On the 5 minute timeframes… so 9:30, 9:35, 9:40 etc…I always watch whether the stock goes up or down bc it tells me whether the algos are selling or buying for the day…a lot of times if there is selling at the 10:00 am mark it’ll intensify around the 2:00 pm time.
Unless of course news moves the stock. It’s not full proof but seems relatively consistent.

This Australian's reply to Trump's rant about “NATO not being there for America” is perfect.
"Mate. You run a country with 600,000 homeless people sleeping on the street tonight. A country where 40% of adults can't cover a $400 emergency without borrowing money. A country where insulin costs more than a car payment and people are rationing it to survive. A country where medical debt is the number 1 cause of bankruptcy. A country where women are dying in hospital car parks because doctors are too scared of abortion laws to treat a miscarriage.
You lock up more of your own citizens than any nation on earth. More than China. More than Russia. More than North Korea. The land of the free has 2 million people in cages, and a quarter of them haven't even been convicted of anything. They're just too poor to make bail.
Your life expectancy is going backwards. You're the only developed nation where that's happening. Your infant mortality rate is worse than Cuba's. Your kids do active shooter drills between maths and English while you sell the gunmaker's stock to your mates.
Your minimum wage hasn't moved in 15 years. You've got teachers working 2 jobs and veterans sleeping under bridges and you just spent a trillion dollars flattening a country that didn't attack you.
And you’ve got a convicted felon, adjudicating raping, paedophile protecting, porn star shagging insurrectionist running the biggest dumpster fire war campaign since the Taliban in Afghanistan thanked you very much for losing again.
And you're calling Greenland poorly run?
Greenland has universal healthcare. Free education. One of the lowest incarceration rates in the world. Nobody goes bankrupt there because they got sick. Nobody dies in a waiting room because their insurance said no.
'NATO wasn't there when we needed them." When exactly was that, champ? September 11? Because NATO invoked Article 5 for the first and only time in history FOR YOU. Soldiers from dozens of countries deployed, fought, bled, and died in Afghanistan FOR YOU. Australia wasn't even in NATO and we still showed up. For 20 years.
And you pulled out at 2am without telling anyone and left them to deal with the mess.
So maybe before you start calling other countries poorly run, have a look at your own backyard, you spray-tanned aluminium siding salesman. The only thing poorly run in this picture is your f----- mouth."
