.....why?! Who in the world wants their Discord messages searchable on Google?? Turn that garbage off immediately. Account Settings > Data & Privacy > Disable "Show my message content on web pages" While you're at it, disable all the other scummy data collection Discord does.
Discord will soon make public server messages searchable on Google The feature will be enabled by default for US adults, but users can opt out in their privacy settings
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Missing context: only applies to messages posted after the update, in public channels of discoverable servers. No private servers or DMs. Indexed messages won’t show usernames or avatars. Admins can opt out entire servers; users can opt out their own messages. discord.com/blog/making-co…

No fucking way ITS 4 AGAIN DIFFERENT BUG
Announcing 3 Critical vulns for hundreds of millions of IoT, Firewalls, OT, and Military devices including: Palo Alto Networks, Comcast, D-Link, HP, Canon, Honeywell, GE, Oracle, Siemens, Rockwell, Digi, Lockheed Martin, Boeing... The vulns are with GoAhead Web Server which is a backend library used by these devices. There's a patch available from GoAhead but that doesn't mean there's a patch available for the devices yet -- that's up to the manufacturer. - TLS traffic over DHE ciphers have a 1-byte secret, "04", meaning anyone can decrypt connections to these devices and steal login credentials and session tokens if the client negotiated with DHE ciphers like the latest TLS_DHE_RSA_WITH_CHACHA20_POLY1305_SHA256, which is extremely likely. - LibreSSL mTLS has been completely bypassed, meaning anyone can connect over mTLS. If you have one of these devices listening on the internet and are expecting mTLS to protect it from attackers, take it offline or patch asap. - OpenSSL Certificate Revocation Lists (CRLs) are not enforced, meaning if a user device is stolen or compromised, and you revoke that mTLS cert, nothing actually happens. There are a lot of other attacks this can be used for. These are critical because these types of devices run our world. Water systems, electricity, military, firewalls, critical infrastructure. foxio.io/blog/choose-your-ba…

"AI use disclosure" is just a nutritionial facts and ingrediants list analog for software and media. Anyone against it clearly has an agenda.

When you get a spam message like this, don't reply QUIT. That goes to *their* system. If you reply STOP, they get penalized at the network level 💅

The Japanese do not worship Americans, the Japanese and Americans are simply friends and it drives the third world insane

ai agents communicating via email distribution lists and submitting git patches made using git am as god intended is probably how development will look in 15 years time. not because the protocols are "good" but because they are ubiquitous.

Okay, technical pondering: I want to be able to have a bot prove it is a bot and not a human pretending to be a bot. Is there any reliable way to do so?

They intentionally supplied weak keys to the wrap/unwrap step. There was absolutely no reason to do this apart from possible malicious intent.

Now people should celebrate. An Indian company exits SSL/TLS business. Your witch-hunt and demand for impossible standards has worked.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Generating private keys with more than 3 digits for a world-trusted root certificate authority are not impossible standards. Badly generated keys may endanger - and have - the whole internet by breaking the most important encryption protocol. theregister.com/security/2026/… cloudflare.com/learning/ssl/w…
