In the movie she takes the form of Sita to entice Ram. After Lakshman cuts her nose, Sita berates him for giving her disproportionate punishment.
Valmiki Ramayana:
Surupnakha does not change her form but does tell Ram that she can adopt any form and become a lot more beautiful than Sita. Sita never berates Lakshmana…
By doing so the film makers have changed the whole narrative of the epic. They have directly and deliberately put the blame on Laksmana for the abduction of Sita and eventual war. One of the many instances that reveal film makers evil political intentions!

वाल्मीकि में खर 14 हजार राक्षस लेकर आता है तो राम लक्ष्मण से कहते हैं सीता को गुफा में ले जाओ। यहाँ फिल्म में सीता खुद राक्षसों से लड़ रही हैं। सवाल ये नहीं है कि सीता ताकतवर हैं या नहीं, सवाल ये है कि जब ताकतवर दिखाना ही था तो अद्भुत रामायण वाला सहस्र रावण वाला प्रसंग दिखाते, जहाँ सच में सीता महाकाली बनती हैं। पर वहाँ वीएफएक्स महंगा पड़ता, इसलिए खर-दूषण के दो सिपाहियों से लड़वा दिया ताकि फेमिनिज्म का ठप्पा लग जाए।
यह तो किसी रामायण में नहीं जो नमित मल्होत्रा दिखा रहे।
फिर रावण को ब्रह्मा नहीं विष्णु से वरदान दिलवा दिया। अंग्रेजी ट्रेलर में राम को आदमी बता दिया और हिंदी में अवतार। मतलब दर्शक के हिसाब से भगवान बदल देंगे।

Valmiki Ramayan- Surpanakha propositions Ram Ji & Lakshman Ji, gets rejected, then lunges to devour Sita. Only then does Lakshman cut her nose & ears.
JNU Ramayan drops the attack on Sita, so the punishment looks unprovoked & new Leftist Sita even questions or lectures Lakshman about hurting a woman. WOW.
So the rakshasi who tried to eat Sita gets a modern consent-and-body-shaming framing & Leftist Sita herself delivers the TED talk. Feminism at peak. 😂

JNU Ramayan makes it pure revenge for the sister, with Ravan having little prior interest. Abduction itself is calm—no crying, no struggle, no graphic details whereas Valmiki Ji mentions Ravan grabbing Sita Ji by the hair and thigh.
