Some life updates: I unfortunately had to deal with difficult US visa renewal issues over the last year. But happy to share that I did defend my PhD recently and am a Dr. now :) (happy committee in the second photo) 1/n

Super excited to share that I'll present our latest research at @ICSEconf 2026. Our work (co-authors @KylePosluns, @caovc, @lindorferin, and @proffnes) explores the use of language models for software testing in TLS certificate validation logic. 1/n

Last, a shoutout to @karpathy for the excellent writeup on "The Unreasonable Effectiveness of RNNs”. It was a really fascinating read during my undergrad (esp. the part on Linux source code). The idea for this project came into existence when I read about fuzzing in grad school.

Also, I’m on the job market and really interested in industry positions around network security, measurement and software engineering (remote or based in Toronto). Please feel free to reach out if you have any leads. Thank you!

A realistic simulation of what it's like to be a grad student? I was only clicking buttons but the frequent rejection was triggering 🙃 It took me just under 7 years to graduate, can you do better? research.wmz.ninja/projects/…
