A new low in customer service from @applesupport in India. Went to iCare service for my iphone 7plus in boot loop after the battery stopped charging. Their diagnosis - the device needs to be replaced.

Inspite of requesting that they re-check the battery - all I got - the diagnosis says replace the device. Took back the device. On opening the device, found that the battery had bulged and was a serious safety hazard. So, is this a sleek way to push new @apple device sales?
