We’ve hit our first milestone! Right now, the mint includes a mix of individual works from the founders—art for art’s sake—and a few @1337skulls added into the mix.
Next Milestone: 1,000 mints
Once we reach 1k mints, we’ll purchase a new piece for the vault: either a @chain_runners, another Skull 1337, or Chain Faces by @natealex. The community will get to vote on which one we add 👀

99% of the current thing is gambling and i don't like it.
i don't like this design space. it doesn't feel like it's betting on the idea that people just want to own others' creations on the internet.
it feels like it's playing into high frequency traders playing hot potato against each other, and most importantly against those fans that actually do want to support creators.
secondary markets are a side effect of the medium, not the main character.
the inevitable gambling is a dystopian hellhole and it's the last thing we should inspire. and imo it's the least attractive attribute of our space. it breaks people, as we've witnessed so clearly over the past weeks.
our space is interesting despite the casino, not because of it.
i was told my casino take is limited (and @js_horne is probably right). but from where i'm sitting this just doesn't feel like we're getting any closer to where i thought we were going.
that's fine it's an open market and i wish everyone experimenting success. all love, even from mean jalil.
Zora has enabled Checks and Opepen and cool experiments like Threaditions and Based Opepen. And @ripe0x just proved that you can create interesting experiments in this environment.
i keep believing there is an alternate universe in which @notthreadguy continued minting original 2$ infinite editions and inspired thousands of young creators to drop regular open internet artifacts and build a track record of their work and network as it forms. we're not there yet but i'm convinced we one day will. and who knows, maybe coins are the door and i'm just blind...
