Since the shader is actually rendered in screen space, making a tool to check all combinations is very trivial. This way any supposedly uncut minecraft video this would still have to line up all the way from the start till the point that they look at the end portal.

the portal is 15 layers of the same star texture but each is rotated, scaled and moves at own speed. Any combination is unique across a 20 minute cycle Which is also its downside, you can get the exact second within any 20 minute window

turns out the end portal in minecraft is also a "clock" the stars scroll based on the world's game time, and since they're drawn in screen space, any frame with a bit of the portal in it can tell you how long the world has been running (kinda), down to a fraction of a second
