#farmers, always remember where your risk is. Don't allow yourself to get caught up in grand ideas of topping the market. Know your risk, make marketing decisions based on managing that risk, not coffee shop bragging rights. #agtwitter #agmarkets

Just heard my son ask my wife (after eating a breakfast burrito) "What's for second breakfast"?

Instead of hundreds of miles of transmission lines, invest that in Small Modular Nuclear Reactors for the underserved areas.
Today, we’re taking another major step towards making that promise of energy dominance a reality. I’m excited to announce the Alaska Railbelt Transmission Project, which is going to devote $400 million dollars to building out Alaska's power grid. With this project, the Trump Administration will help develop more than two hundred miles of new transmission line, lowering costs and strengthening grid reliability for 75% of the population of the state.

Got a Suzuki mini truck. It’s awesome.
Side by sides should not cost more than $15,000 You are grossly overpaying for a plastic Gucci Bag with a centrifugal clutch and a belt sheave. Stop.

The Matriarch has kept this going with a main manager guy and other employees.
Local Rancher was killed over the weekend. Had a wintering ranch in low canyon country and it sounds like he was hauling some hay down to it and drove off a rock rim.... Bad deal, his son died 4 years ago this month. 7-800 cow spread that'll get pieced off, I'm sure.

Calvin has been enjoying some apple pulp after my family made some 20+ gallons of cider on saturday. He enjoys it very much. Also, since he is still a bit thin I picked up a bulk bag of chopped barley from a local farmer to give him some more energy.
Meet Calvin. Calvin was rescued from an evil local factory farmer. He sustained some sort of injury to his left back leg and was kept in a pen of bigger bulls who bullied him last winter. He hobbles around on mostly 3 legs. He’s being well cared for now.

Finally got Grok to agree with me. Welfare has to clearly pay less than working. Cultural shift back to promoting physical ability and working hard vs. only white-collar work.
To draw more Americans into these jobs, reform benefits so work clearly pays more than non-work. Improve housing, transport and conditions at remote seasonal sites. Promote farm labor via vocational training and cultural respect for physical work. Accelerate mechanization of the hardest tasks. Wages alone have drawn almost no domestic applicants.

Also, get a whistle and referee.
If you have young kids in sports, coach at least one sport at least once. It changes your perspective forever. Even just coaching little kids. It’d do us all some good if everyone has tried it at least once.

Now do Health Insurance. $1500/month for a high deductible plan for a family of 6 (Im sure I'm off, but humor me) $18,000/year. Deductible is about $21,000. Effectively paying $18,000 a year for the privilege of still being a cash payer most normal things.
CAN SOMEONE ACTUALLY EXPLAIN HOW THIS IS LEGAL. A guy at work pays $210 a month for full coverage auto insurance. That's $2,520 every single year just to stay legal on the road. Last week, someone clipped his parked car in a lot and drove off. Total bumper damage: $1,200. He called his provider to file a claim. Their response: "Your comprehensive deductible is $1,000, and your monthly premium will likely go up if you report this." So he paid $1,000 out of pocket to fix damage he didn't cause, while paying $2,500 a year for "protection" he couldn't even use without getting penalized. You're literally paying a monthly fee for the right to cover your own repairs.

6th grade, woke up early on my own. Something that really never happened. 6:30 PST and dad always had on the news or weather channel. Didn't really understand what was on the news, what it really meant. Quiet day at school, nobody really talked much.

Bears are smart. They associate people with food. So they go where there are people and dig through trash and find food. If they associated people with loud bangs and pain, they'd stay away and wouldn't need euthanized.

Worked on a Dairy in Colorado in 2012. The year 2 sons were taking over when the dad decided to retire. I could tell in the first couple weeks neither of them worked on the dairy growing up. It was a cash cow to them. Pun intended.
Growing up on a farm vs actually doing things on a farm are two very different things.

I did not grow up on a Dairy. Beef cow/calf and haying operation. I worked a lot. I did not have much respect for the 2 brothers on that Dairy. Felt like I had a better understanding of their dairy after 2 weeks than they did.

It’s the new season for mini truck poasting. Had to skid this tamarack tree a bit to have it all on the road. Nice little 1/2 cord of wood for the winter.
