More training volume won't fix poor exercise execution. If a muscle isn't growing, stop assuming you need more sets. Lower the weight. Perfect your technique. Make the target muscle do the work. Then progressively increase the load. In bodybuilding, the goal is to get more out of less. Struggling with a lagging muscle group? DM me. Happy to help.

The dawn effect. Fasting glucose can rise in the morning due to cortisol dumps. You can see how mine rolls. This is with no food today.

If your bodybuilding diet forces you to choose between sleep and your sixth meal, your meal plan needs adjusting. Especially during a cut, sleep may be the better priority. Spread your macros across fewer meals instead. Questions about nutrition? DM me. Happy to help.

A 17-calorie “surplus” sounds precise. It isn't. Food tracking has more uncertainty than that. In the off-season, eat enough to support muscle growth, keep fat gain in check, and give it time. Questions about bulking? DM me and I'll be happy to help.

A mini-cut makes sense if you've only got 5–6 pounds to lose. But after 18 months of permabulking? A 4–6 week cut isn't going to get you where you need to be. I'd rather see one serious 16–20 week cut each year. Get lean, then grow again. Questions? DM me. Happy to help.

Bodybuilding competitions aren't cheap. Between prep coaching, posing, supplements, entry fees, and tanning, you're looking at $4K–$5K minimum. My advice? Don't compete until you can afford to do it properly. Questions about contest prep? DM me. Happy to help.

This is week 10 on TRT. I have only run one true cycle since I won my pro card, and that was late this spring, earlier this summer. 750 test and about 500 primo. I think my test might be underdosed because I am running what should be around 200mg per week. Although this blood panel was taken 6 days after my most recent shot, so maybe that's it. I have other panels to clean up, so I am going to stay here for a while. The other panels I need to clean are up due to my diabetes. Being diabetic is a pain in the butt. I am surprisingly strong at these levels and making progress in the gym, which is the weird part.

Explains why I couldn’t log in.
Quest Diagnostics has been hacked. Patient data was exposed. They serve roughly half of U.S. hospitals and physicians. Investigation ongoing.

Sometimes doing your best isn't good enough. That's just how it goes. It sucks. It hurts. Sometimes it's unfair. All you can do is dust yourself off and get back after it.

You can still make significant bodybuilding progress after 50. But trying to train like you're 21 is a great way to keep getting injured. Smarter exercise selection, fatigue management, and cardiovascular health matter more than chasing heavier weights. Consistency beats recklessness. Questions about training after 50? DM me. Happy to help.

Every now and then you just have one of those days. When life punches you in the face. The best way to deal with it is just to get to work. Hard work takes my mind off of the stress and gives me a sense of accomplishment. Resting just causes the bad to fester and allows you room to dwell. When life gets you down, do something. I promise you will feel better.

Starting bodybuilding at 30 doesn't mean the pro dream is over. But even a 5–7 year path to national-level competitiveness assumes favorable genetics, enhancement, and serious dedication. A pro card recognizes the work. It shouldn't define your success. Questions? My DMs are open.

You don't need a Mr. Olympia title to be a bodybuilding legend. Flex Wheeler had the aesthetics. Kevin Levrone had freakish genetics. Kai Greene had to face Phil Heath. Andrew Jacked could be a future champion. Who's your #1? Questions? DM me. Happy to help.

I'm running a promo for my Building Effective Cycles E-book. DM me for a link to the discount. $30 rather than $60.

Cardio isn't automatically the enemy of muscle growth. Not eating enough to support your activity is often the bigger issue. I still pull back cardio in the offseason, mainly to leave room to increase it during contest prep. Questions about cardio and muscle gains? My DMs are open.

Another channel nuked with no clear explanation. There need to be laws protecting the rights of content creators.
YouTube made a decision, and the channel is gone. What a shame and an absolute travesty, @TeamYouTube @YouTube

Dan Quinn is good for 2-3 boneheaded decisions per game that always haunt the team in the end.

Building a great physique is one thing. Knowing how to present it is another. Stomach vacuums can improve your awareness and control of your abdominal muscles, helping you keep your waist tighter when posing. Questions about vacuums? DM me and I'll be happy to help.
