#nokia 6210 GSM mobile phone from year 2000-2002. Just wondering how long will the battery last, about 26 years after it was born. The SIM card is a good one. We are at 6h30m stand-by and counting.

About 105 hours in the test. Battery 1/5 bars, can handle a phone call. I'd expect an old battery would just drop dead at extra load, but no. :)

Took this #nokia on a 300 km train trip. Battery 3/4 bars after 27 hours stand-by. Let's have a round at #snake

Time to restock capacitors. These RIFA look promising ..

It is 2026 and it's the first time I see a miniSD card. The phone is a Qtek 9100.

I received this USB 2.0 external hard drive. SQP DE-3USB300, with a 300 GB PATA disk inside. Win11 sees it no problem, so I removed the 3 existing partitions (to make a single one) and the fun began. The adapter now reported a 2.2TB disk but no operation was allowed. 1/n

The disk is fine. I created one NTFS 300 GB partition and wrote data to it. So I put the disk back in the adapter and ... still 2.2 TB, untouchable. It looks like the adapter is locked up, or it expects the disk to be partitioned in a specific way

This is the board inside with an Ali m5621 controller. No way to reset. No interest either as today data can be moved with USB sticks. I save the 5/12V power supply + switch board for another project and split in recycle bins the rest. 4/4

What would you do if you found the full install set of SCO Unix System V for x386? Install it, of course! 1/n

Something I never experienced before is how it determined your Daylight Saving Time rules. You tell the system the rule to compute when the change occurs and how much to offset. It correctly recognised I am in CEST right now. 4/n

Before reboot you can choose to add additional software, which is chosen as a whole or by package. That means swapping almost a dozen floppies (images). I put everything including games (they are text-only!). Now I am after the GUI, but I have more SCO floppies to explore. 5/5

And this is how it ended. Even if the iPad has been updated via iTunes to the latest version (but I have no idea which version it is running now)
