My new favourite watch. 19 days on market and counting.
Probably $1.2M over market. With no garage it might actually be priced even worse than that.

Wild that Y2K went smoother than western Canada’s foray into permanent daylight saving time.

This current narrative around @cohere just makes me so sad man.
Canada finally has an AI company that’s having an impact at a global scale and, instead of celebrating that success, Canadians are tearing it down.
I fully understand that when government capital is in the mix that it warrants an extreme level of accountability. That money comes, in part, from the contribution of hard working people across this country.
But as a proud Canadian, why would you not want your government supporting one of the most clear success stories over the past decade?
As a country we should be doing everything we can to support these success stories and the people working hard to make it a success.
I am glad to see this investment into building the Canadian Pacific Rail.
It is obvious to me that rail is the bedrock for future economic activity and prosperity. And yet, as Canadians know, the US is massively ahead in expanding its rail network. We should treat this an inspiration for what we can achieve, but also a threat to our security and sovereignty if we do not act.
Imagine the future where trillions of things can move around the world everyday, but Canadians had to go through the US to ship anything. Not only does this stunt our economy, but critical supplies could be at threat of foreign interference.
We should not let our country be dependent on foreign trade routes, at the whim of foreign economies. Building this rail is a matter of securing our country’s sovereignty.

Canada's reflex is to cut down anyone who gets big or thinks big, then wonder why our best companies leave & wonder why GDP & the economy is down.
The Cohere backlash is tall poppy syndrome in action. If we want the future built here, we have to back the ppl building it here.
I don’t get why anyone wouldn’t support the government of Canada investing in @cohere
They religiously give billions, with no equity in exchange, to companies like Honda, VW, Stellantis, Umicore, and BHP.
The government didn’t lead the round, they participated, and I hope to see billions more invested this way every year.
Beats using our $ for grants, tax credits, and loans with favorable terms to large and foreign owned corporations.
I only choose an Airbnb if there are no hotels near my desired location or if I really want a kitchen and can’t find that in a hotel nearby.
Replying to @DadInvest
Airbnb worked great when it was a bunch of upper middle class folk loaning each other their vacation homes for a little extra cash. But once it got opened to the wider population and became an actual business for the homeowners, it got worse than Hotels real fast.
Another Toronto home I’ve been watching.
Originally listed for $6.8M. Price drop to $5.995M.
Now the listing has expired.
Is $5.595M next?
Flipper the property $2.3M in 2018, knocked the house down and built this.
Whoever is trying to flip this paid $1.28M for the property in 2024. Knocked it down and built this. No way they put over $3M into the build.
And if they did they weren’t thinking.
