“Without her Jhb dies” 😂😂😂😂 A city 140 years old dies if we don’t vote for a party that’s failed to address apartheid spatial planning in the Western Cape. Whose leader thinks said planning is “propaganda” and had to be schooled by the ConCourt. Inganekwane.

Anyone who thinks this is about “the ANC” or “clumsy and arrogant” SA government is either being disingenuous or is supremely ignorant about contemporary geo-economics and the politics of the Trump presidency.

You raise an important moral point. These donors - willing to collectively donate billions to a political campaign - are human or have human beings making that choice whilst millions of South Africans suffer in poor living conditions, poverty and unemployment. It costs a lot to run an election campaign so money is needed. But, we have more pressing needs that money could serve. Perhaps we need more than transparency about donations. We need campaign spending caps.

🖊️ Seen the claim that South Africans need to bring their own black ballpoint pens to the polls tomorrow? 🧟 This zombie claim is doing the rounds again but it’s FALSE. Here’s what you need to know. africacheck.info/blackpen_ie… #LGE2026 #localgovernmentelections #SouthAfrica

"Do not vote to protect your privilege. Vote to extend it to others" is the best piece of advice I think any one of us can take with us tomorrow.

This is a reenactment of the transatlantic slave trade during a Ghanaian cultural festival, similar to Homowo or Fetu Afahye. It is a historical remembrance and educational performance, not mockery of the Holocaust.
Remember when Africans in Ghana mocked our Holocaust? I do.

Rise is also in the GNU but @SongezoZibi is doing amazing work at SCOPA. They’re punching well above their weight. We need to increase that weight.

If you don’t want the DA to win in Joburg then you need to go vote and you need to convince your friends to vote as well. DA voters are more likely to actually vote so the party has historically benefitted from low voter turnouts

A safer city is about more than responding to crime; it is about creating communities where people feel protected, supported and secure in their everyday lives. GOOD’s Safer City pledge recognises the importance of safer public spaces, stronger communities and local government that takes responsibility for the safety and well-being of residents. Everyone deserves to walk their streets, use public spaces and go about their daily lives without fear. 🧡 #ASaferCity #GOODParty #LGE2026 #AGOODCity

If this test series vs Oz wasnt enough to state an unequivocable case of more Tests and less hit and giggle, then we are lost as a sporting nation. Absolute drama from start to finish. Nothing quite like it. We need more Tests. Break the big three monopoly.

One concerning thing I've heard people say is: 'Party X always wins this ward, so it doesn't matter if I go vote' THIS IS WRONG. Every single vote (ward and PR) gets put into the overal seat % calculation. So EVERY VOTE matters in EVERY WARD. TURN OUT. GO VOTE ON WEDNESDAY!

Test cricket is the greatest format of the game. It tests every aspect of a cricketer: technique, temperament, patience, skill, discipline, adaptability, physical and mental strength. It exposes weaknesses and rewards character. T20 entertains, but Test cricket defines greatness.
