There is an American tech YouTuber called Jerry Rigs Everything. Most of his videos are about him taking apart devices, understanding how they work etc. He has 10.2 million subscribers In 2005 his wife had a horse riding accident as a result of which she was paralyzed waist down. She now required a wheel chair to move about All high quality outdoor wheelchairs that he tested costed upwards of $20,000 Considering he was a tech Youtuber with some fame he could have simply called one company to get one for free. He didn't do that Like he does on his channel, he took apart a wheelchair, understood its components and then built one on his own He then decided to sell them in public for $999. He called it the Paradox Thanks to him, most of us can have access to high mobility, all terrain wheelchairs. This is what tech Youtubers abroad do. They actually make a difference Meanwhile Our guys haven't yet gone past, "Arre Bhai, Yeh dekho Apple ka agla amazing phone, Isme aapko milta hai 3 camera aur ek screen. See how I am drooling on this packaging and colour" with some pathetically click baity thumbnails

Shankar Mahadevan sings 'Chhap Tilak' on a Lord Ganesha stage, while Jaya Kishori sings it at her spiritual gatherings. But has anyone ever questioned the meaning of Amir Khusrau’s words? Have we lost our sense of who our enemies are in the spell of Sufi melodies? @Shh_Shaili

Carnatic and Hindustani music are Hindu arts. Anyone can sing them, atheists included. But no singer can take the gods out of these songs and call what remains secular. 🧵 @CranksCorner

Why Indian Classical Music Cannot Be Stripped Of Its Hindu Soul Atheists can sing it and all are welcome on stage, but rewriting history to pretend Carnatic and Hindustani traditions are secular is an act of aesthetic philistinism. @CranksCorner swarajyamag.com/culture/why-…

My husband took my 90 year old mother-in-law to the Emergency at @fortis_hospital at around 8 pm on Sunday (24th Oct). She was delirious and her BP was touching 210 which seemed alarming. The emergency doctor attended to her as did someone from Gastro. She underwent a CT scan and the lady doctor who saw her mentioned that they would need to put her in the ICU and investigate as they were not sure where the problem was and would need a couple of days to stabilize her. It is 1 AM now; my husband is still waiting for a bed. The reception tells him to check with the emergency doctor; the emergency doctor says there are no beds and sends him back to reception. Now, the emergency doctor has the audacity to tell my husband in a very off hand manner that he should take my MIL to another hospital with a referral letter. We go to hospitals when there is a problem; the least we expect is some empathy. Is it because my MIL is the wife of a late army officer and is empanelled in ECHS? Is this how families of retired armed forces officers are treated? We have been visiting this hospital for over 30 years and the service standards have become pathetic. I am told that no senior person is around to address this issue. @JPNadda

There was a special prayer in a Kochi Mosque on the day Ajmal Kasab was hanged. Having Jinna's photo on the wall of a restaurant is a minor case compared to that. A large section of peacefuls consider India just a a geographical location where they live, nothing more !!

Odd days: “Sanghis will be hunted down in streets of Bengal” Even day: Saar you are not secular
This is what a typical Hindu thinks, yet claims India is secular. Imagine having all the non-secular traits and still claiming to be secular. Indian secularism is basically a marketing strategy on the global stage - a ceremonial thing and self-proclaimed secularism.

Why do docs (Christian)from other states are coming to a perticular dist for charity? Why do NGOs are coming to Kalahandi only ? And only Indian express can tell stroy , hmmm , yeah they did a stunt for CEC but failed .
During my Masters' at CHRIST Bangalore, I had written a Research Paper on Dongria Kondh Movement in Odisha. I had compared the tribals to Biblical character David and the Bauxite mining companies to the Giant Goliath. In the end the victory was of the small shepherd David in Bible and so was it in real life- Supreme Court passed the first environmental referendum and the power lay with the Gram Sabhas to decide. No one had heard about this Movement or how hard the Tribals tried to save their mountain Niyamgiri. A force to reckon with. What an inspiration the whole Movement was, but it was hardly highlighted by the mainstream media. Everyone knew about the Chipko movement, but who knew about the Dongria Kondhs and their courage? (heb-nic.in/cass/admin/freePD…) Seeing this unfold again in the Sijimali hills is so haunting. People who dare to fight with them for their rights, are put behind bars. The Kondh tribes are the actual inhabitants of the mountains, it is their home, their God. And it is they who have all the right to decide what happens to their mountains. Besides, the hills are also environmentally fragile, unsuitable for mining. Huge mining projects will only causes a lot of damage to Odisha's pristine hills and resources. And all the minerals from those hills will be siphoned off for development of other states and Odisha only serves as an exploitation hub. How long will Odisha continue to be exploited? #Odisha #OdishaGovernment

Another fatal luxury car crash that killed a scooterist in Kerala by a 17 year old, son of District Judge ⚠️ Victim's Niece was told, "Don't teach me law, you have no rights to question me" - Minor's father(additional district judge) "Don't overreact and get emotionally driven, he is just a 17 year old kid" - Kerala Police The accident occurred at around 2:20 AM to 3:00 AM at Cheranalloor in Kochi. A speeding luxury Mercedes-Benz car, registered under the name of the additional judge, rammed into a scooter from behind. The scooter rider, 55-year-old Jayabalakrishnan of Manjali, was killed. He was a local street vendor returning home after closing his wayside eatery (thattukada) near a temple in Chittoor. The 17-year-old minor, who does not possess a driving license, reportedly took the car out for a night drive. He was speeding at 100km/hr while the crash occured as per reports. The victim's niece JAYALAKSHMI claims that the accused was not shown to them at the police station and Kerala police insisted them to not get emotionally driven by this incident as if this isn't a big loss at all. The father of the 17 year old accused who is a district court judge spoke rudely at the police station asking them not to teach him law as per Jayalakshmi's claim. The central issue is the loss of a human life. Jayabalakrishnan's family has suffered an irreversible loss, and the circumstances surrounding his death must be investigated thoroughly. The victim and his family deserve justice, while the investigation and any subsequent legal proceedings must establish responsibility on the basis of evidence rather than influence, status or public speculation.

Onnu Pode. I myself have grown up in areas of Kochi when crackers used to be burst everytime Pakistan won a cricket match, randos would try to name roads Saddam Hussein nagar & idiots would casually praise Dawood’s ‘guts’ etc etc. So pls F off with these stupid POVs.
To all those making noise about Jinnah’s portrait in a cafe in Kerala, you’d be hard-pressed to find sympathisers of Jinnah’s political ideology among Kerala Muslims, unlike in parts of North India, where you might still come across a few. We’re historically quite disconnected from that political legacy. That said, Jinnah was the founder of a nation and commands respect in his own country. His portrait being displayed in Kerala says something about our society’s maturity and ability to accommodate different perspectives without overreacting. Proud to be a Malayali, and for good reason.

Now that the naxals have been destroyed, the church has no choice but to come out of the shadows
Anti-national Dr. Randall Sequeira is the new prey of India's Baap Adani, pushed into jail for opposing Adani's illegal Buxite Mine project in Odisha. Dr Sequeira was born in Karnataka, grew up in Mumbai. And after completing MBBS, he went to Kalahandi, Odhisa in 2017, to provide health care to the local Adivasis, Dalits in those remotest hills He was allegedly detained without any warrant, memo or showing any reason on 16th October. Now, charges of attempt to murder, rioting to possession of arms, instigating others in the region to make false allegations against the state government has been lavelled against him. The police has also found his link in an April, 2026 clash between Adivasis and Police. Why? Because Dr Randall Sequeira opposed and raised his voice against Adani occupation Adivasi village lands through forgery. Fake thumb impressions and signs were collected. Check the latest @AJEnglish report where even dead villagers apparently consented. People were protesting outside while their thumb impressions, and signs were being collected automatically, agreeing to give up their land for the Adani mine. So Nationalistic approach! What bigger crime can there be than opposing such a sacrosanct Adani? It doesn't matter Dr Sequeira not limit himself to prescribing medicines. He also helped educate their children, helped those few tribal students prepare for medical entrance examinations. What even if he travelled from village to village, holding camps for pregnant mothers and malnourished children? What if he used spread awareness about address nutritional and maternal health challenges in those hills where even after 80 years of Independence, Goborment only reaches them when it matters to squeeze them out. After all Adani is India's real Baap. Dr Randall Sequeira committed a great crime by expressing his sympathy for those Tribals whose land has been taken illegally by Adani. How dare he?
