It was an absolute delight to be invited to attend the launch of @RuralActionDerb's magnificent Wheels to Work programme in #Staveley today. The scheme is funded via the Staveley Town Deal.

Man with curls, "We look at taxation negatively. If you increase tax you go, this must be bad" #BBCQT
"But surely the question should be the use of our taxes. So if I had to pay £20 more tax but my energy bills or my transportation bills were reduced, surely that's what we should be looking at?"
"Rather than saying we need to keep cutting taxes, I'm fine paying more, if I got more from it"

It was great to be given an opportunity to discuss the digital challenges faced by @BusinessPD members and #peakdistrict communities at the #socitm #servicedesignandtransformation conference
Fascinating pitch from Dr Peter Dewhurst on the urban / rural digital divide. What does the future technology of our places look like? What could they look like? How can we make sure communities are not left behind? #Soctim #servicedesignandtransformation
