Frank Murtha, longtime NFL agent, embodied the values of humility, kindness, and integrity while zealously representing the best interests of his clients.
He was a connector of people, a mentor to so many, and someone who was always willing to lend a helping hand. He understood the importance of building and maintaining long-term relationships, even with those sitting across the negotiating table.
He had a unique approach to the business. He was a fierce advocate who never lost sight of the human side of negotiations. He was a voice of reason, a gentleman, and, above all, a first-class person.
They don't make them like Frank anymore.
He made his mark on our business, but his greatest legacy is the impact he had on the people who knew him. We are all better for having crossed paths with Frank Murtha.
Rest in peace, my friend. You were a true Negotiation Warrior, not just at the negotiating table, but in every aspect of life.
Adam thanks for the great words. A true pioneer and legend in the agent world. Humble fierce loyal smart and caring. A great mentor to many and agent to even more. Rest easy counselor.
We need to celebrate the agents who helped build this profession. Frank was one of the best. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Murtha family. RIP, my friend.
Very sad to hear of Frank Murtha’s passing. Frank was a true pioneer in the NFL agent business—innovative, always thinking outside the box, fiercely devoted to his clients and respected throughout the NFL. More importantly, he was a great friend to so many of us, myself included.
A life well lived a true legendary person, figure and friend.

The men over at @UTampaMLax came by the FFCA to help me spread the word of a great fundraiser to support those whose lives were affected by the attacks on September 11th, 2001.
A great cause lead by some great people!

"Show dignity to those people in how you let them go. It can't happen that Karl Ravech is contacted by somebody wanting a comment. 33 years, and that's how it ends? Show dignity, give them that dignity."

Joe Thomas looked at his agent and asked:
"You're turning down $74 million?"
Peter Schaffer replied:
"I got this."
Great negotiators don't rely on confidence.
They rely on preparation.
