Microsoft is getting out of WA state.
They see the writing on the wall.
Even without the 9.9% income tax, the WA estate tax will drive people out.
The exemption is $3Million. Above that the rate is 10% to 20% over $9Million.
The highest in the nation.
That’s confiscatory.
Gosh, we just can’t figure out why all the big companies are cutting staff and or fleeing the state… what could it be?
And btw, Microsoft, sitting this one out doesn’t move you off the menu, you are the bloody main course….

The Ferguson-Pedersen state income tax scheme is a negative inflection point. The culmination of years of disastrous economic policies peddled by WA Democrats. And justified by @seattletimes.
Olympia cooked the golden goose.
Microsoft just offered buyouts to roughly a quarter of its workforce — about 60,000 people — as it tries to shrink head count without another round of layoffs.
Meanwhile Olympia keeps raising taxes. And Washington employers are looking for the exit.
In the Association of Washington Business’s spring 2026 survey, nearly 1 in 4 employers were considering moving their business out of Washington — almost triple the share in winter 2025.
Only 7% rated the state’s economy strong or very strong. And 38% planned to expand somewhere else, compared with just 9% planning to expand here.
Those are warning signs. When businesses leave — or put the next expansion in another state — the jobs go with them.
Olympia should make Washington a better place to start a company, hire people, and build a future. A new income tax takes us the other way.
I’m voting Yes on I-645 to repeal it. We need employers building here.

This progressive girl recently moved to Seattle from Dallas. She’s paying $2,000 per month for an apartment with no oven and no laundry.

I never let go of the Egyptian planes. Always knew they were a piece of the Charlie Kirk assasination. They completely overreacted when I mentioned them and Erika made such an awkward joke about them at AmFest when she should have been naturally concerned about them.
