One of the best descriptions I’ve read on how to incorporate CLA. Will use the “teaching, training, testing”. Great thread 👍👍
Long thread no one asked for on my experiences with #CLA (constraints led approach) in the wild as a basketball coach working with smaller school high school players...
So proud of this young man. From China Spring HS now to professional Basketball. The most complete player I’ve ever been around. Cant wait to watch some Euro League Basketball!!
How do you control chaos/physicality with defense calling fouls instead of on ball player? We have offense calling- and while it can be soft/tight it limits any other nonsense.
Def didn’t want to end up #500- but no one better in this business than @CoachSnell. Learned so much going against you these past 4 years- hopefully I don’t end up #600. Congrats coach!
🏀Congratulations, @CoachSnell on 500 Wins 🏀
23 Dedicated years as our Head Basketball Coach here at Connally ISD, We Thank you for all you have done and continue to do! You have been one Great Leader through out the years to MANY young Cadets!
#SuCCess #BleedBlue #CadetNation
Big shoutout to all the players I’ve gotten a chance to coach! Thanks to my wife and family for making this for me! Get to be around great people everyday.
Final: Varsity Boys Basketball
Wimberley Texan Tournament: Game 1
China Spring - 56
Marble Falls - 42
The victory was also Coach Phil McCaslin’s 100th career win as a head coach.
Congrats @philmccaslin @BasketballChina
So excited to see Spamalot tonight!! @TheatreChina are some of the best kids in the world! Can’t wait to see them perform again.
CONGRATS @philmccaslin for being our TEACHER FEATURE this week and always building up our theatre students!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Appreciate it coach-GREAT kids and Great people here in China Spring!!
A huge @Tabchoops shoutout in honor of @BasketballChina It’s what servant leadership is all about & it’s on full display via CS hoops. Coach @philmccaslin is doing things the right way & teaching beyond the game! @hardwoodtexas @hoopinsider @DCTBasketball @kwtx @chinaspringisd

RIP to the greatest champion of all time. Underrated player, activist, and person. Broke ground in so many ways on and off the court. Our game and our nation owe him so much. Rest In Peace Mr. Russell
I accept the challenge from @CoachSnell. I was late on my post so I donated $20 to @HoopsofHope @frogzona. I nominate @coach_lanham15 @BBCoachBRuiz @CoachHarkless06 to post a picture of themselves coaching in the next 24 hours or donate $20 to a charity of their choice.

2024 Young Pro Global went 4-2 this weekend in the @hoopseen Best of the South tournament. They played up in the 17U division. Great development opportunity for @ZachMay2024 and all the players! Thanks @IceTrayBU, Coach JB and Coach Rogers!
Then the draft picks cut in half.
Bridges and DA and 2 picks is still@better than any other package.
He’s in year 16. Stud but we’re talking maybe 3 more great years.

Miami can’t match that. Tyler Herro and Duncan aren’t the same as Cam J and DA. I’m ok with Phoenix putting another pick in 27’ if lottery protected.
Nets give up
Kevin Durant
Suns give up
Deandre Ayton (sign and trade)
Cam Johnson
Dario Saric
2023 Unprotected First
2024 Unprotected First
2025 Pick Swap
2026 Pick Swap
Gives the Nets some draft capital they lost in the Harden deal and 2 young players.
Who says no?
1. Who runs it?
2. Who pays for it?
3. Who installs it?
4. Is it for sub-varsity games as well? Tournaments? Aux gyms?
I think a charge circle is a more pressing need. Every complaint about the shot clock is easily fixed yet every “bonus” of a shot clock no one answers ☝️
I might need @JaimeBoswell2 help here to spread this among the hoops audience..but whats the overall take on #txhshoops coaches on adding a shot clock? Is there more support on the boys side vs the girls side? More support in 6A vs 1A? Interested in hoops coaches takes here
