Why?
Dynamic art is on the rise (HELL YES), but I can't help feeling interactive work gets overshadowed by a well-established artist creating a piece that changes colors when it becomes night time. This is cool, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE DYNAMIC ART, this is using technology to enhance digital art == truly building on what's typically already REALLY good art.
If you aren't aware, a lot of dynamic art is hard coded to only change in predefined ways, whereas interactive art lets the viewer change the experience with much more opportunity for self-expression, letting the viewer 'COLLABORATE' with the art. ๐ซ
Interactive art is dynamic.
Not all dynamic art is interactive.
Yes, interactive art is still driven by 1s and 0s, and most actions will have some sort of limit, but the viewer actually has INPUT into the piece, that's what makes it interactive. The VIEWER controls the output, not the price of gas or the time of day or some other input. AGAIN, there is total value in dynamic art, I'm just pointing out the differences that might not be understood by everyone following buzzwords. โกโก๐ง
