Midwimble, the privacy sidechain of MIdstate, will be launching soon. To participate in mining (which you can merge mine with midstate) you need to bond 128gMDS of midstate. What and how and why is explained in this substack.
Midstate does not use new cryptography
In fact it uses extremely old, extremely well tested cryptography
The limitations and boundaries are well defined
This allowed us to control for them. We built midstate with performance in mind. Utilising every software engineering optimisation we could possibly think of. As a consequence we get proven post quantum cryptography (proven by many people many times smarter than us) running smoothly on a raspberry pi.
Probably just don’t browse the internet for a couple of weeks. This is pretty cooked.
What if I told you there's a post-quantum L1 live since February 2026, fully fair launched?
Zero elliptic curves, only hash-based signatures. No premine, no team tokens. No ASICs, GPU-minable. Every coin a power of 2 for privacy. Hidden mempool, so no MEV. Atomic swaps to Base already live.
Still under $1M mcap.
And CT hasn’t noticed yet.
Would you buy?

Midstate ($MDS): A closer look at its genesis and fair launch
I've been digging into Midstate's launch history, reviewing the Rust source code, blockchain records, historical GitHub discussions and speaking directly with founder @cypherpunkgold.
Rather than taking the fair-launch claim at face value, I wanted to understand how it was implemented and whether the blockchain supports it.
Here's what I found. 🧵
Every hard problem with a quickly verified solution also has an easily findable solution.

China built an AI that works like a human brain and it's 100x faster than current LLMs while using 97% less energy.
It’s called SpikingBrain, a family of brain-inspired large models that completely re-engineers how AI processes information.
Instead of burning endless energy on continuous matrix multiplications like traditional Transformers, SpikingBrain uses adaptive spiking neurons.
It mimics actual biological firing patterns.
Neurons only activate when triggered by specific events, meaning the model achieves a staggering ~69% sparsity at the micro level.
It doesn't waste compute on silence. It only thinks when it needs to.
And results change the game for long-context processing:
• Achieves over a 100× speedup in Time to First Token (TTFT) for massive 4M-token sequences.
• Matches performance with advanced open-source Transformer baselines while using a fraction of the data.
• Built to run and scale stably on non-NVIDIA hardware clusters (like MetaX chips), completely bypassing Western hardware dependency.
We spent years trying to brute-force bigger AI models by throwing more electricity and silicon at them.
Nature figured out how to do it efficiently millions of years ago.
USA had 1776, Australia has $76 dollarydoos for cigaroos
the chinese miners that muscled in on midstate (midstate.cash) have all left. Good times. Great time to mine.
