Building @gen_intuition: models for envs that require deep spatiotemporal reasoning. I like games, OSS, AI, and once built the world’s largest RuneScape server.

“The digital world lacks physical information. The physical world lacks dense digital information. Games perfectly merge these two together, and we believe that’s just the next phase of pretraining.” Every few weeks @gen_intuition ships new emergent capabilities that are orthogonal to anything you see in the LLM world. "What if you didn't have to go through classical compute limits at all?" - @PimDeWitte Pim’s argument is that the optimal approach is to learn directly from the data the universe produces continuously, rather than relying on simulators. On top of that, the training runs are tiny compared to frontier LLMs.

The largest math proof in human history is now computer-verified. Today, Axiom announces a complete Lean auto-formalization of the Classification of Finite Simple Groups, the "periodic table of symmetry." About 15,000 pages, built by over 100 mathematicians across generations.

Excited to share what the team at Highlight has been working on. Take it for a spin today and let us know what you think!
Today, we’re kicking off the Highlight beta. Try it here: go.highlightai.com/highlight… I want a future where AI helps make your work uniquely yours, and not feel cookie cutter. That’s what we’re building Highlight for. Highlight is your working world, all in one place. It connects your apps, meetings, and screen, creating a single command center where you can find answers, see what needs your attention, and start every task with the first draft already done.

💥 Introducing Warp Sciences, a new company applying AI and robotics to help the world develop new medicines faster. We’ve raised a $215M Series A led by @lightspeedvp to bring frontier AI out of the browser and into the lab, and build scientific capacity here in America. I co-founded Warp with my long-time friend @dpatil, FAIR co-founder @manohar_paluri, and drug hunter Sol Reisberg. The early team is full of incredible people like @bkspears9, who helped achieve Q>1 fusion at LLNL.

"What is bad is not that men live and die,but what dies within a man while he lives. Perhaps the most important thing that is within a man while he lives is his imagination. The thing that keeps you going and keeps you creative is never to loose your imagination. Always dream of things that are better, and think of cool ways to reach them." - Amar Bose (1929-2013)

The games we've long wanted, which didn't exist because they'd cost several times more to make than they'd earn back, will soon become possible. As will the games developers wanted to build, but couldn't with the resources available. It'll be a new golden age of gaming.

Anthropic could just put their new git system in the weights for the updated models and people would switch over instantly on Claude code - continuously becomes the bottleneck for multi agent collaboration related tasks (and storage). Maybe sync back periodically to github repos.

To my colleagues in the games industry: I’m seeing the early signs of what I believe will be another large revenue driver for the industry, with some early deals taking place now. If you have a great, realistic game, many AI labs will pay for privately hosted managed versions. There’s a great opportunity to roll this up as a service for game developers (we will be a customer!) but labs will be reluctant to work with rollups because of fear of distillation. The right way to price this is some up front fee for the engineering effort with a managed service fee and some concurrent user number tied to the services provided. The more realistic the game and the wider state/action space and customizable the more customers. And the more accessible the interface (do you have to build agents to load and manage the game or do they come out of the box?) the higher the customer retention will be. I think this will lead to a massive rejuvenation for the industry, and in the long term we will be makers of games for both agents and humans. And the technological advances will carry over. For example, I imagine everyone will get much better at anti cheat and catching non human behavior by having the best bots at all time within reach and collaborating with top developers. Very excited for this and how it’ll lead to making better game for players also!

Europe must wake up now. In an exponential race, if every turn in the wheel turns 30% slower, you don’t even stand a chance, even if you have better talent, better technology, better infrastructure, you lose simply on your inability to compound. Adopt fully or accept game over.
Europe’s founders need a European standard to compete globally from day one. Europe’s leaders committed to delivering one. But their teams are negotiating away the very things that make it one. There is still time to change course if Europe's Heads of State step in now.

Modal continues to be an incredible company - excited to see @bernhardsson continue to be a visionary leader who makes AI more accessible and usable
Today we're announcing that Modal has crossed $1B in annualized run rate, as well as raised a $750M Series D at a $15.75B valuation, led by @Accel. Since our Series C, usage has tripled and we’ve grown more than 15x year-over-year. We are deeply grateful to the developers and companies building on Modal. There's still so much more to build, and we can't think of a better time to be building software.

In our inaugural blogpost “Building Physical Intelligence with Interpretability,” we explain that interpretability is not simply a nice-to-have. Rather, interpretability is critical to scaling physical intelligence.

The current game in your current engine can easily act as a verifiable domain checker for a deeply capable agent swarm to port to the exact primitives you need. Serious threat to the engine business as we know it. Expecting a lot more speed, creativity, and cross platforms.
Announcing RimWorld update 1.7! It moves the game from Unity to the Waylith Engine, our own in-house engine. In our tests, RimWorld runs 2-4x faster. You can try it now on the unstable beta. Oh, and RimWorld isn’t the only game on Waylith... Read on Steam: store.steampowered.com/news/…

Too much emphasis is being placed on coding models generalizing to robotics just by “generating simulators” - other than it being slow, training natively in pixel space using the world’s compute (our universe) directly is a massive advantage as you don’t need to go through simulating at all. You can have a good simulator, but simulating is still expensive. And lossy. Imagine having to simulate the entire internet just to train an LLM!

ok this could be EPIC❗️ @PimDeWitte just challenged @elonmusk to a straight 1v1 💀 both are training AI that only sees the screen and outputs actions (btw this mf raised $320M after a $134M seed… then another $220M at $6.2B. all in like a year 😵‍💫) > Elon: Digital Optimus is halfway through Diablo, solid at CS, League in training > Pim: drops CS footage of his models winning rounds + teabagging... tags him “Let’s run it” same rules. each picks 5 games. Pim even said Elon can throw in a racing game if he wants. no engine access. pure pixels in. this is gonna show real quick who actually has the better stack.
actual footage of how the 1v1s between GI’s models and whatever Elon is cooking will go (yes these are our vision based models)
