Clockers is a Spike Lee movie that I wish more people would watch. Everyone talks about Do The Right Thing as Lee’s definitive tribute to NYC and while I don’t think Clockers is a “better” film than Do The Right Thing, I do think this film explores different aspects of New York that Do The Right Thing doesn’t explore. The urban realism here & the style from Lee is unforgettable. So are the performances. This is an outstanding film.
