Pitt twitter, pls humour me/don't let this flop: I want you to hit me with the character you feel like most of the fandom hates, but you love 'em. Pls feel free to give reasons why! Use this as an excuse to yap abt your underappreciated blorbo/get other ppl to See The Vision!

Mel in s1 stuck to following rules/her seniors. Engineering a procedure she KNEW the boy's mother didn't consent to was right + likely saved his life. But was also against the rules/Robby's advice. It's the first big choice she put herself out there on, and she got sued for it-
idk how to feel abt this

-I think it makes sense she's now torn between doing what she feels/her gut instinct tells her is right vs what the rules and protocols (which are there for good reasons) say is right. Understanding herself/own identity is also key to making (and being ok with) those choices.

I need to stop swan diving down the 'this was right/wrong' rabbit holes in the Pitt. Bc: NOTHING is ever fully right or fully wrong. So regardless of which 'side' you take, canon supports it. So they never lead anywhere. Instead I want to steer towards the 'why'. MUCH juicier.

to (hopefully) raise the spirits of my fellow #robbylangdon peeps, have a snippet of a whumpy hurt/comfort fic I'm working on for them involving: Frank's very bad no good spine and Robby's very bad no good day.

Does it bug anyone else when someone replies to a tweet and then IMMEDIATELY blocks you so you can't reply back and have any kind of discussion/clarify?? What is the POINT!?!?

Robby had NOTHING to do with her sickle cell patient diagnosis - he only pushed Samira to: please stop delaying and please perform the necessary intubation before said patient dies. I have acknowledged Robby was wrong on the mercury poisoning? They are both wrong sometimes.
If she had listened to robby, both the sickle cell anemia patient and the mercury poisoning patient would have been misdiagnosed. The fact is robby was wrong. Samira was right. You can always get the worst takes on pitt/samira from someone whose bio says "eternal Pitt brainrot".

"No character on the Pitt is wrong 100% of the time, and no character is right 100% of the time" seems like a fairly reasonable position to take but my god does it make people hella mad...

One of the most delicious character creation things, to me (which the Pitt does very well btw) is where you give a character a trait which is both their greatest strength AND their greatest flaw. Absolutely 10/10, no notes, I'll take 12.

If the world is getting a little too much may I recommend the inexplicably obsolete word ‘latibulating’, from the 17th century? To latibulate is to find a cosy corner somewhere and hide in it.

I am intrigued by/down for a McKay-Langdon scene. And I do think there's some interesting potential there. But can I pls remind everyone, for reasons of Amusement, that when Langdon tentatively offered McKay a hug when she was having a bad moment, she looked at him like THIS:

JUST, Y'KNOW, FOR PURPOSES OF KEEPING OUR HEADS LMFAO. The "if you ever need anything, call me." scene is gr8, 10/10. Just as long as the thing he needs is never a hug: they're GOLDEN. (im sorry all the talk abt mckay and langdon's Deep Bond keeps making me think of this)

Fuck it, I'm feeling Spicy today: no, no she doesn't. And that's: a problem/not a good thing, actually! You ever heard that phrase 'you can lead a horse to water but you cannot make it drink?' Yeah. It's hard to teach someone who will not listen/refuses to be taught.

One day I'm going to throw away the few remaining fucks I'm hanging on to and unhinge abt how much i DESPISE the general Pitt fandom interpretation/view of The Pedes Scene (yes that 1x14 one). I will then be killed by a pitchfork bearing mob. But at least my truth will be out.

Idk i just feel like when ao3 is back up I need everybody to be heaps more graceful towards fic writers because if two weeks without their works is painful then maybe we shouldn't be discoursing weekly about how much you think they suck at writing.

i think the santos langdon dynamic is fr my “when you disagree with most fandom hcs” instance when it comes to the pitt. i’m so firmly in the “they can just be regular co-workers who are ok with each other” camp

writing Langdon's POV on anything is kinda hilarious. because of the way the boy Copes by downplaying/making light of everything ("Sweet! Family reunion in post-op!") it really doesn't matter how tragic the Situation i put him in is: he WILL find a way to force humour out of it.
