My daughter is trying to make it to France with her French class. Any small donation helps tremendously. She has learned so much in her 3 years of French and I can’t wait for her to put it into practice. educationaltravel.com/My-Acc…

Is guest password still supposed to work on Flip topics? It doesn’t seem to be showing up when we scan our code. @MicrosoftFlip

I’m so tired of companies that can’t be transparent about their pricing on their website and can’t even just email you a quote without having to talk to a sales rep when you are an existing customer. Looking at you @brainpop

You know….that “false narrative” that book banning is happening here in FL. It’s not “hardcore pornography” removed from the arms of 10 year olds. It’s usually one person leading the charge to remove hundreds of books about people and lived experiences unlike their own.

Students from our book budget team met with Jim Boon from @CapstonePub to add books to our consideration list for this year’s project. Students will purchase books for the library using funds from our book fairs. #studentvoice #collectiondevelopment #library #tlchat

I’m so tired of it being the expectation that educators “volunteer” their time to their employer during off contract times. This is the response I got when I asked about summer stipends. You can volunteer.

Libraries can have a major positive impact on our mental health. I'm pondering how student mental health is impacted when a teacher tells them, they can't get THAT kind of book from the library. (insert graphic novel, wordless book, picture book, etc). #sljsummit

PEN America has compiled a report on book bans in the US—including where it's happening and which books and authors are getting banned the most. It finds a "profound increase... [in bans on] books that relate to communities of color and LGBTQ+ subjects." pen.org/banned-in-the-usa/
Graphic featuring the PEN America logo and text that reads, "Which stories have been banned?" followed by a chart of statistics, including: 467 books on protagonists of color, 379 books on LGBTQ+ characters and topics, 247 books addressing race or racism, 84 books about trans characters and topics.

In my 80s childhood, my mom bought me these Disney picture books at the grocery store. A new volume came out each week and we made sure to keep coming back for the whole set. #FReadom #BooksUniteUs @FReadomFighters

This book may be problematic today, but 5th grade me fell in love with it and proceeded to find every book written by Scott O’Dell. I learned the beauty of interlibrary loan. #FReadom #BooksUniteUs #tlchat @FReadomFighters

We rarely visited the mall, but when we did my mom let me buy one book at B. Dalton bookstore. I remember carefully selecting this award winner in elementary school and loving it. #FReadom #BooksUniteUs #tlchat @FReadomFighters

I spent a lot of time at my grandmother’s house and a core childhood memory was reading A Girl of the Limberlost. We found a copy in a used bookstore and I read it in elementary school and shared many conversations with my grandmother. @FReadomFighters #FReadom #BooksUniteUs
