Yesterday, @FCC unanimously voted to launch an inquiry seeking public comment on how to define digital discrimination and what rules the Commission should adopt to ensure everyone has equal access to broadband. I hope that @LULAC will partner with us on this vital work. #Emerge22

If anyone remembers from last April, I downloaded my data from Facebook following the 533m breach. FB told users that they could download their information to see what data FB kept. But FB told Newsweek after my interview that "Off-FB activity is not related to the data scrape"

Third, it indicates the data in a user's DYI ("Download Your Information") file is not all data on the user. FB stores significantly more data in their "Hive" data warehouse which doesn't appear to be available thru a user Data Access Request covered by law or this lawsuit.🤔 /5

I have some ~thoughts~ about the Russia/Ukraine information wars. People are using words like disinfo/misinfo in a sweeping way that doesn’t contextualize what is happening on the ground- which is that grassroots propaganda is going hugely viral as people rally behind Ukraine.
