I mean I get the sentiment but ya’ll just lost by 22 shouldn’t you be more mad at yourselves than at Luka????

Draymond Green on Yaxel Lendeborg going at Luka Doncic: “Everyone will say the rookie learned his lesson. What he learn? The next time he see him, go at his ass again.” Full soundbite

Yaxel is always candid in his interviews, and while that may rub some people the wrong way, especially with him being a rookie, I think his genuine approach to the media is a breath of fresh air But he has to make sure his mouth doesn’t write checks that his play can’t cash

Tyrese Haliburton is good for the game Dude is a dawg and old school competitor whose play backs up his talk

It’s like we went back in time today and watched a young Damian Lillard hoop again But this time, he’s actually surrounded with a better constructed basketball team full of complimentary length & real, high-level defenders, plus a big man who can screen

I’m not worried about an off shooting night from beyond the arc when we’ve seen Scoot Henderson make strides in that area over the last two years But I AM excited to see Scoot Henderson not only getting into the paint, but also finishing in traffic

Zion Williamson has never once in his NBA career averaged more than 1.0 3PA/g In fact, 0.7 3PA/g in ‘22-23 is his career-high Today’s 4 3PA actually ties a career-high that he originally set in 2020 New year, New Zion??

Keaton Wagler just knows how to create space, even without having some of the elite traits that scouts love Here, just a slight jab gets his defender to bite enough for him to change directions and get all the way to the rim for his first NBA points

Fun fact: Luka Doncic played 316 games in the NBA before turning 24 (the Age Yaxel is right now)

Whew, Darius Acuff’s first step is already nasty as is But how he layers by changing his pace really showcases how nuanced his game is for his age

Holy shit Damian Lillard is an anomaly because we’ve seen small guards time and time again hit a wall and yet Dame is still Dame even after a devastating injury

I think with Dame as his mentor, we are on the verse of seeing the most confident version of Scoot Henderson we’ve ever seen And, to top it off, the work Scoot has put in is obvious Look at how quick he got this shot off under duress

Man, I love Sidy Cissoko and I’m glad he’s finally found a home in Portland Sidy has the size to be a mainstay there while also having advanced playmaking feel

Scoot Henderson is looking explosive this season and he’s weaponizing that explosiveness to improve his ability to get into the paint & finish around the rim Watch him stampede cut to catch the pass while already running, allowing him to get downhill fast
