Peyton Manning says 8 years of pointless wet-ball drills finally paid off in the Super Bowl, and says he and Jeff Saturday practiced taking snaps in the rain every Thursday before Super Bowl XLI and it never mattered until that night when Chicago had 3 fumbled snaps and they had 0
“I’ll tell you a good Super Bowl story about Jeff Saturday real quick. Every Thursday during our entire career in Indianapolis, Jeff and I played together forever, we always did wet-ball drills. We’re taking snaps before practice and the equipment guy is spraying water on the football, creating the environment.”
“Jeff would get so mad because he’d say, ‘Peyton, we’re playing in the RCA Dome this week. There’s no chance of rain.’ And I’m like, ‘You never know. You’ve got to prepare anyway.’ We did that for eight years. Every Thursday, no matter what.”
“We get to the Super Bowl, and it’s raining cats and dogs. We have zero fumbled snaps. The Bears have three fumbled snaps. And I said, ‘That’s why we’ve been doing the wet-ball snap drill all these years.’ So those little things pay off in the Super Bowl. They pay off.”

The refs have cost the Jags legitimate 11 points in this first half though. That's just a fact.

Why would the saints call a timeout at 2:45??? Just wasted the timeout. The next play will now take it to the 2 minute warning
Didn’t the Alabama player Crowell start his slide before the end zone? The ball is spotted when he begins his slide?

If you put the Jaguars in New York, LA or Dallas, we’d be talking about them as Super Bowl contenders. Jacksonville is really freaking good.

The Orioles called up Heston Kjerstad on Sept 1st (day after his wife had their 1st child & he didn’t even get 3 days of leave).
He’s started 4 gms (finished entire game 2x) & played in 10 of 23 gms. He didn’t play in either DH & has 18 total at-bats. I don’t get it! #Birdland

C Maverick Handley was out of the #Orioles organization by the time the team could've used him most. He's resurfaced with quite a season behind him:
