These people are giving the game away. They want to create a world in which no one has the desire to read, create or think, and eventually no one has the capacity to. Reading, critical thinking, the humanities, are never wastes of time; they are what make us free.

Replying to @luckytran
IMPORTANT: Every time a politician introduces a mask ban, they always claim there will be health exceptions.
Remember, health exceptions don't work. They increase racial profiling, often still require mask removal, and violate people's privacy rights.

It’s the funniest thing in the world that schools are cracking down on political speech without bothering to take any of this stuff off their websites.
New faculty guidelines from Barnard College at Columbia University. Professors are not allowed to post signs on their door "that support a geopolitical view or perspective". When talking about "geopolitical views or perspectives", faculty must talk about both sides.

ALT Some examples of activities that violate this community expectation include: Messaging from the president of Barnard College or any division or department supporting a geopolitical viewpoint or perspective while denigrating or remaining silent about an opposing geopolitical viewpoint or perspective. Employees posting signs on their office doors supporting a geopolitical viewpoint or perspective. Employees supporting a campaign for a candidate on their Barnard webpage profile.
