Chilling at Rosa's Pizza in Penn Station before my interview. They classed up the joint. It used to be the go-to spot to grab a beer before a train ride. Grimy. Now it's pretty nice and a slice cost $5. Times have changed.

who had a LI audience above 200 people and is in marketing? I need some traction over there. Willing to put in the sweat equity and write out shared posts.

The irony of social media you i try so hard to get in front of a top professional like @oliviaakory or @CJSlattery and once you get there you say stupid shit because... it seems conversational

Have an interview tomorrow with a law firm that spends a sizeable budget. Nervous about it. @AnthonyHigman who I met online took 30 minutes of his time walking me through what I already know just to get my moral up. Whoever says networking doesn't matter doesn't know squat.

I think the confusing part about selling as a marketer is that you see so many ways to help a business that you fail to emphasize one. When you get a single opportunity to speak with someone, the conversation needs to be focused.

Weird Question: I have an interview tomorrow. It's the 4th time I have spoken to this company but the first time in-person. Should I bring copies of my resume?

Google says you should wait 30–50 conversions before making changes to your campaign. But here is the thing... No.

The real question is risk tolerance. If you're 70% confident the data is solid, are you willing to put a sizeable wager on it?
Math is math... You either have enough data to make a call or you don't. How important your ad results are to you, doesn't change that.

Nobody in their right mind is willing to argue with my on social media about advertising. I know a lot. But more than that I am willing to argue a point i do not believe to prove a point.

A guy I know from social media owns an ad agency. I’m a media buyer, and I see his ad on X, YouTube and Instagram 20+ times a day. I’m not a prospect. I just know him. Platforms claim to understand nuance and intent. Do they?

The irony of being an advertising professional: You need to be excellent at the fundamentals before you can break them. And you need to break them to REALLY succeed.

Most incremental attribution test results I see posted show a lift number and nothing else. What’s the minimum you’d want reported (interval, significance, test length) before taking one seriously? CC: @oliviaakory

Advertising is the only industry where a company hires a vendor, decides the work is bad, then tries to do it themselves with no experience. Nobody fires their hitting coach, watches a few YouTube tutorials, and posts “Day 1: me + an AI agent in the batting cages. Going pro.”

interview 2. Dazzled a partner with talks of lead quality. Last step: interview in person. I need to buy a pair of dress pants to continue the process. 🤣😓
Your boy is good. Took an interview today with a big law firm. I interviewed with their head of marketing. He has just as much Google Ads experience and more legal marketing experience than me. Rare combo. Made me nervous. Nailed it though. Round 2 next week.
