I’m thrilled the Illinois Parole board will be able to hear cases, now that a quorum. Dr. Sanford and I testified in front of this board and helped win the release of Sims in October. She had been in prison for 32 years following the tragedy surrounding postpartum psychosis.

Today is the first Maternal Health Call to Action Summit at the White House a major step toward improving maternal health and maternal mental health. Hopefully this will improve maternal mental health and laws for those who suffer from postpartum depression and psychosis.
