The White House Correspondents' Association strongly objects to the decision to restrict a journalist’s coverage simply because the president didn’t care for their questioning. That is retaliation. The American public's right to an independent press depends on reporters being able to do their jobs without fear that challenging the president will cut off their access.

Trump just sent a dangerous message to every authoritarian government on the planet: Detain Americans on bogus charges, use them as bargaining chips, and Washington might delay sanctions or offer concessions.
He's turning American citizens into leverage against their own country. I'm glad Hubbard is coming home, but Trump did not need to post this.

The Trump administration is so beholden to Russia that it is now praising Putin as a humanitarian. Let's be clear: Putin is not a humanitarian, he's a war criminal.

Let's just make this clear: Witkoff calls the bloodiest dictator, indicted war criminal, and child murderer, Putin, a "humanitarian" not for some massive concession, not for agreeing to stop the war, but for releasing a person they captured in a foreign country where that person was simply living their life, posing no threat, and breaking no laws.
They captured him there during an illegal invasion, kept him in awful conditions, and brutally tortured him for four years. They released him now, which is good, I'm happy for him and his loved ones, but after everything that's been done, how can a bloody dictator who did all that to someone be called a "humanitarian" just for releasing them? This is simply humiliating for America. He must be charged arrested prosecuted and executed not kissed in the butt!

Vladimir Putin is a war criminal. He is a murderous dictator who has killed thousands of Ukrainians in unspeakable acts of brutality.
These comments are disgusting and shameful.

Trump has just admitted on camera, that if he'd sanctioned russia, they would have kept this guy - on totally fake charges - for 20 years. Trump has admitted that Putin is a hostage taker, and has handed him American foreign policy on a plate. You have a LOT to learn.

Putin poisons his critics, jails his opponents, detains Americans, and invaded Ukraine—where he has kidnapped children and massacred civilians.
Bending over backwards to kiss his ass and salute him as a “humanitarian” is a disgusting new low, even for this administration.

Ukraine gave up a nuclear arsenal valued at over $1 trillion dollars, including 4,500 nuclear warheads. Guess who asked Ukraine to do this? We did! The United States of America did and we guaranteed the security of Ukraine.
We signed this agreement in 1994.

Today, after four years of brutal torture, including electric shock, near daily beatings, starvation and isolation confinement, the Kremlin has released Steve Hubbard, a Michigan native, who was kidnapped in 2022 from his home in Izyum, Ukraine, where he had lived since 2014.
Ukrainian servicemen that had shared a cell with him in 2024 relay stories of the brutality that was inflicted upon him by the Russians over a several year period.
Steve Witkoff today thanked his Russian master for releasing the American, while Putin will surely be gifted massive US concessions to further build up his war machine for the US-Russia war on Europe.

Zelenskyy is bombing data centers and Putin is bombing children on playgrounds. I know which side I'm on.

Trump: "I alone could secure a prisoner release from Russia without giving anything in return"
Trump literally ten minutes later: "Now you idiots know why I had to waive sanctions on Russia, no shot I got that prisoner release otherwise"
Putin - Trump's best friend - should have never detained Hubbard to begin with. But Trump would rather blame a fellow American & President... he's fucking trash.

Reporter: "How was waiving those sanctions on Russia to secure the release of Hubbard not giving something to Russia?"
Trump: "Are you a stupid person? Who do you work for?"
Reporter: "ABC News."
Trump: "You're a stupid person."
This is embarrassing. He is crashing out on a daily basis at this point over simple. valid questions because he is completely cracking under the pressure.

President Putin is a murderer.
His soldiers use rape as a weapon.
He has launched wars costing thousands of lives.
His agents have stolen children and destroyed families.
Russia today is what President Reagan correctly called it: the evil empire.

While I am pleased that Russia finally released Stephen Hubbard, it is important to note that he never should have been jailed in the first place.
Calling the war criminal Vladimir Putin a “humanitarian” is a disgrace to the tens of thousands of Ukrainian soldiers and civilians that Putin has killed as part of his brutal war.

WTF, Steve? Look up the definition of “humanitarian.” What an embarrassing and outrageous thing to say. You should go back to Ukraine and ask the families of the children Putin has kidnapped and murdered whether they agree your friend Putin is a “humanitarian.”
