every mechanic designed to protect casuals steals excitement away from the hardcore gamers who are the real engine of intrigue for the masses. casuals are attracted to the excitement of those who know better
just remembered i have to get 1 million subs so i can fund BlindSight and finally have a cool mage character to play in a platform fighter
icies can keep handoffs , let's legalize the stages that are banned for enabling infinites. it's ok since it's in the game. come approach me on Mushroom Kingdom 2.
*eating a burger made from the soul of an animal tortured to death for the 10000th day in a row* yeah i'm just worried about ethically consuming videogames
you can't ban 'short form video' because the concept itself is a misnomer.
FORM just means vertical, to fit phones.
ban 'short video'? people will make the video be 1 second longer than the minimum requirement.
you could maybe tangibly enforce a ban on non-original content?
i read the entire paragraph and then glanced at the username. it's like a fish explaining why the world should be covered in water
I feel like I don’t see a lot of people talk about WHY the game is like this and just boil it down to specific characters when in truth it’s just the engine. Cause it’s not at all characters having a lack of approach tools or anything of that sort. Its simply just because interaction in this game leads to getting blown up more times than not (Especially true against the top tiers) Adding Yoshis doesn’t really encourage approaching, it just encourages one side to fish even harder for said blowing up and can do so while camping. While it just makes the other player double down on their camping to avoid the cheese. I’ve never understood personally why people equate stages like yoshis “nerfing” camping when it either just gets banned or the person camping to avoid the cheese is gonna camp even harder while also benefitting from the cheese albeit not as hard as someone with ladder combos LOL. I feel like the only thing this stage does is nerf Steve and buff ladder characters and not what people think it does by “nerfing” camping or “shaking up the meta” 🤷🏾♂️
the worst trope in fiction is when the characters randomly talk about an in-universe story and the le epic foreshadowing is that the plot is going to mirror it
