Big Tech is willing to accept a weak national #privacy law in return for eliminating the one law they fear — California’s. No on #ADPPA. Read 👇

This is REALLY important and we hope @CAGovernor Newsom continues his leadership on #Privacy issues by supporting #TheDeleteAct! Let's continue to ensure California leads the way on #PrivacyMatters! Thank you @SenJoshBecker for getting this to the Gov's desk!
I was interviewed by @ktvu on #SB362 #TheDeleteAct. This bill, which is on @CAgovernor Newsom's desk, creates a free, one-stop-shop website for you to click DELETE and remove your data from being sold by unknown, 3rd-party entities. #caleg Watch here: youtu.be/PSwoVy-tiC8

Calif should use the strongest #privacy agency in the nation (@CalPrivacy) to regulate Artificial Intelligence (#AI). With unregulated chatbots, transparency in AI is more important than ever. Let's be smarter than the bots about enforcing privacy law! Exactly why we passed #CPRA

California is at the forefront of privacy in response to quickly changing technology. We urge Congress not to undercut the important protections that have been established through efforts by the states. Any federal law should set the floor, not the ceiling for privacy law.

Important editorial from the @latimes on why #ADPPA is "seriously flawed" saying:"It threatens to diminish the privacy protections Californians have come to expect from a state law signed in 2018 and a ballot measure voters approved in 2020."latimes.com/opinion/story/20…
Thank you @SpeakerPelosi for working to protect #CPRA, the strongest privacy law in the nation. Federal pre-emption by #ADPPA would set back #privacy rights and undermine the will of more than 9.3 million California voters to enshrine those rights. speaker.gov/newsroom/9122

We agree w/ @SpeakerPelosi:"Proudly, California leads the nation not only in innovation, but also in consumer protection... it is imperative that Ca continues offering and enforcing the nation’s strongest privacy rights." Don't let #ADPPA pre-empt #CPRA! speaker.gov/newsroom/9122
