Gambling is a personal choice! Never let someone pressure you into gambling or make you feel you must gamble to fit in. For most individuals,  gambling is entertainment they enjoy. But for some, gambling becomes a major issue that lingers long after the enjoyment has faded.

Expect to lose, & accept your losses. Winning is the exception, not the rule! Odds are you will lose. Accept losing as part of the game. Plan your budget to gamble. Decide first what you can afford to spend, and don't change your mind while playing.

Here at the Council, we are neither for nor against gambling. Here are some guidelines if you choose to gamble: Gambling for entertainment only. Avoid gambling when feeling lonely, angry, sad, or depressed, or when coping with stress from personal, financial, or health problems.
