I am a Gazan who has endured immense losses due to this war, having lost close friends and so much more. I do not need to be lectured about Gazaโ€”I have lived its reality. There is only one viable path for a lasting ceasefire and the reconstruction of Gaza: the removal of Hamas from power, both politically and militarily and the release of the Israeli hostages, through a secure and comprehensive agreement that ensures a permanent end to the war and an Israeli withdrawal from the enclave. This is not merely an Israeli demand; it is an international necessity, endorsed by Palestine and all those who genuinely seek to rebuild Gaza. I have relatives and countless friends in the Stripโ€”people I deeply care forโ€”who every day tell me that they long for the nightmare of Hamas rule to come to an end.

This morning, the Israeli army bombed the Isleem residential house in the Al-Sabra neighborhood in Gaza, killing at least 20 civilians, the majority of them children. Everyone in the picture was killed; the entire family has been wiped out.

Co-director of standing together @omdimbeyachad @AlonLeeGreen: "And I want to ask why? Why?! Is there any one person in this world that believes that this thing, this war crime, can bring us Israeli citizens any safety?? "More than 200 Palestinians were killed. During one week in Gaza, more than 200 people died because of bombs that were dropped by our army. 200 people that are children, women, elderly men, people that some of them were in tents, tents in a designated humanitarian area, tents that caught fire because of a bomb dropped on them. And I want to ask why? Why?! Is there any one person in this world that believes that this thing, this war crime, can bring us Israeli citizens any safety? Is there one person in the world that believes that killing more than 15,000 children in Gaza during the course of 14 months can bring Israeli citizens a better life? We understand and we know deeply that the destruction, the killing, the starvation, this is the worst catastrophe that we can imagine for the Palestinians, but we also know that this is a catastrophe for the Israeli people. Yesterday another thing happened. Hamas released a video of Matan Zangauker, one of the Israeli hostages, one of the hundred Israeli hostages that are still there in Gaza. Watching this video of Matan, being in a terrible shape, mentally and physically, speaking to his mom Einav, telling her: mom, I see what you do. I see your struggle. I see how you go to each and every corner of this land demanding my freedom. That was heartbreaking. That brought tears to my eyes. And we know that there is a government in Israel that is doing nothing! nothing! - to release the hostages because there's only one possible way to bring them back alive. And it is by a deal, a ceasefire deal that will end the war, that will end the destruction, that will end the killing, and it will bring back those loved ones to our home safe. So this is our message here. The fate, the future, of both people are intertwined. They cannot be separated anymore. It's either we're going to a self-mutual, total destruction, or we are going to live together on this land. And that means living together on this land with no more wars, with no more killing, with no more occupation, with no more war crimes or ethnic cleansing. Living together in peace. So this is the time to talk about the solution. And the only solution is ending this reality and achieving Israeli-Palestinian peace. And this is why we're here today. Thank you so much.ืด

Despite the efforts of our government to block the aid to Gaza, we managed to get this morning more aid trucks to Dir El Balah in central Gaza - food that comes directly from Israeli citizens, Jews and Palestinians, that understand that in these dark times, we must remain human.

All the people you see in the picture were killed today by Israeli airstrikes; the Jodah family were killed in southern Gaza (the mother, wife, and children of Dr. Mohammed); followed by, Dr. Joudah himself in the Jabalia district of northern Gaza.

We are appalled by this morningโ€™s deadly attack by Israeli forces on a five-storey residential building sheltering children, women and older people in Beit Lahiya, North Gaza. According to Gazaโ€™s Ministry of Health, the strike has left 93 dead or missing including at least 25 children, making it one of the deadliest single attacks in Gaza in nearly three months.
We are appalled by deadly attack by Israeli forces on residential building in Beit Lahiya #Gaza. At least 25 children among those killed or missing. Civilians & hospitals, ambulances & medics are protected from attack under IHL or any use for military purposes.

Every day in northern Gaza, there are mass civilian casualties, including dozens today alone. This week has been particularly deadly for the Palestinian population, which is trapped and has little hope for relief. The ongoing killing of civilians by Israeli fire raises serious doubts about the counterterrorism and counterinsurgency strategies employed by the IDF against Hamas. This situation is not normal and should not be normalized. A year later, despite the widespread destruction, the war in Gaza may have succeeded in some tactical areas but has largely failed to achieve its broader goals. On the one hand, the Israeli government asserts that it has succeeded in achieving its military objectives; on the other hand, the continuation of massive airstrikes that are killing hundreds weekly indicates the failure of the Israeli war plan as Hamas continues to have a presence throughout Gaza and strike IDF ground troops. As the conflict expands throughout the region without a clear resolution, the United States will need to reassess its foreign policy to avoid supporting a never-ending war that undermines its interests and those of its regional allies such as Egypt, Jordan, and the Gulf states. Whether it likes it or not, the United States is a party to this conflict and is seen as such by large parts of the region and the world. It has geopolitical, legal, ethical, and foreign policy interests to avoid having its support and offensive munitions being used in Israeli military actions in Gaza that could amount to serious war crimes. The more civilians are killed by Israeli firepower and US munitions, the worse this becomes for all parties involved, including Israel itself and its prospects for regional integration. This madness has to stop and cannot be allowed to continue indefinitely.

In his las statement, Khalil Al-Hayya (a Hamas leader) stated that Hamas intends to rebuild Gaza again. Well, I lived in Gaza for 26 years and witnessed more than four military operations between Hamas and Israel; I don't recall Hamas rebuilding any houses; in fact, after each military operation, Hamas managed to steal donated funds intended for Strip reconstruction and used them to fund their leaders' bank accounts in Qatar and Turkey. Jihadists don't know how to build; all they know how to do is destroy people's lives. #October7

This is Hamasโ€™s slogan to celebrating and marking the anniversary of October 7th: โ€œFlood Towards Liberation.โ€ Itโ€™s impossible to grasp the mindset of Hamas and their supporters who, even now, seem blind to the devastation and bloodshed have consumed Gaza since October 7th. A basic moral stance should lead everyone to refuse to glorify what happened on that day. If Hamas supporters canโ€™t reject it out of simple human decency, then arenโ€™t they at least concerned about the ongoing suffering of Gazaโ€™s people? The civilians in Gaza are enduring unimaginable hardship, with every passing day bringing new horrors. To praise October 7th as some sort of victory is not just morally bankruptโ€”itโ€™s a callous disregard for the devastation, the immense scale of human suffering, and the relentless misery that continues to plague Gaza.
